17.01.2022 So many of these fans being put in to properties these days! There is a high quality version and cheap quality, the latter usually being put into the property. For anyone who has these in your rental property or if placed them in a property you own, be careful when cleaning the blades. They are a very lite, but cheap pine and the paint isn't of the highest quality. Don't use chemicals on them people. Use warm soapy water and wipe gently. But be careful! If there is one near ...your kitchen, they will get a layer of oil residue on them, from when you cook. The dust settlement doesn't help either. Even with the range hood on, it does not catch all of the oil partials in the air. That mixed with dust, will lift and can blister the paint of the timber. Give it a couple hits with water soapy water and if need be, a small about lemon juice in the mixture (only on white blades, makes no difference on colourS). If it looks like the paint is coming way, leave it and contact the real estate. As the will hit you up for a new fan, if there is damage to the blades. As far as I know, you can't get blades to replace damage ones. See more
