25.01.2022 May be of interest to some followers The WHO Quality Rights initiative https://www.who.int/mental_health/policy/quality_rights/en/ is working to improve the quality of mental health services globally and to promote the human rights of people with mental health conditions and psychosocial, intellectual, and cognitive disabilities. As part of this initiative, they are developing a good practice guidance document which will present information on community-based mental health ...services that promote human rights and the recovery approach. Anybody who is involved in providing a service, has experience of using a service, or knows of a service is welcome to complete the questionnaire. Please note that they are not looking for services that focus specifically on e-interventions, phone-based interventions, training programs, housing and employment services or services focused on advocacy and/or system reform. The first phase of the online consultation for Western Pacific Region countries will close on 22nd March 2019. 25.01.2022 This year, BPD Awareness Week is taking place from 1 - 7 October with the theme Flipping the Script: Changing the Narrative on BPD. This year were aiming to change the way people think and talk about borderline personality disorder, encouraging people living with BPD to be mindful of the way they think about themselves, move towards strengths-based self-talk and to celebrate their strengths. 23.01.2022 Invitation to WA clinicians - Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT) utilises evidence-based clinical interventions to improve the social and emotional capacities of those who experience difficulty in their relationships. The Lighthouse MBT Parenting Program is an MBT approach developed for high risk parents where there are child protection concerns. It is used to help parents gain a greater awareness of their own emotional states, to better manage their emotional arousal, and to develop skills in noticing and thinking about their childs thoughts and feelings. 7-10 January 2020 For more information contact Matt Ruggiero on [email protected]

19.01.2022 This event hosted by Carers WA may be of interest to some Carers (NOT BPD specific) A workshop to assist carers in aligning themselves positively to their body, mind and feelings to build their sense of meaning and wellness. We have developed a survey in collaboration with Spectrum Personality Service to explore the general well-being of people with BPD during COVID-19 pandemic and their experiences of telehealth.
