25.01.2022 Could this be a new staff uniform? It’s been a long tiring year and we’ve just about made it through another whole Term! Some of the staff thought they would celebrate and try to reinvigorate some energy to into the end of the week by sporting some Hawaiian attire. Everyone is a little tired right now and the team shirts gave everyone a smile.

23.01.2022 In these crazy times, so many people are struggling, not just with, the impact of Covid 19, but with lots of other issues within their lives. Please take the time, not just today, to check in with colleagues, friends, family and neighbours. Also remember to check in on yourself! Don't be afraid or embarrassed to admit that you aren't OK.... There is much more to ask than 'R U OK'.

12.01.2022 A message from the Sustainability Club: Well done to everyone for putting their soft plastics in the soft plastics bins. So far "all of this" has been kept out of landfill and gone to Woolworths where they collect soft plastics. These soft plastics are sent off and recycled into useful products.

02.01.2022 Leaving children unattended in a vehicle can result in serious injury or death. The temperature inside a parked vehicle on a typical Australian summer day can be up to 30 degrees hotter than the outside temperature. In as little as 5 minutes, the temperature in a vehicle can reach dangerous levels.... The impact of heat on a child's body is almost immediate and can be fatal. A child's body temperature rises three to 5 times faster than an adult's, placing them at greater risk of life-threatening heat stroke, brain injury, heart and lung failure and dehydration. A child left unaccounted for in a vehicle is also unprotected and vulnerable to danger, particularly in an emergency situation. It only takes one shortcut on safety to have devastating, lifelong consequences. Tips for families: Create a 'Look Before You Lock' routine. Building simple steps into your daily routine can help lower the risk of unintentionally leaving a child in a vehicle: Place an item you will need at your destination in the back seat of the car, such as your bag or wallet. Attach a mirror for rear facing car seats so you can easily see your child. Create a mental checklist to run through every time you leave the car, such as 'baby, keys, bag'. Get in the habit of checking your backseat every time you get out of the car. Check even if you know your child is not with you. This will help make looking before you lock part of your normal routine. Look Before you lock. Every time. Without fail. Discuss your 'Look Before You Lock' routine with every person who drives your child anywhere. This includes partners, grandparents, babysitters, and friends. Be extra alert if your routine changes. The risk of unintentionally leaving a child increases with a change in routine. Importantly, if you accidentally lock your child in a car or you come across a child left unattended in a vehicle: 1.Keep calm 2.Think clearly and act quickly 3.Call your roadside assistance provider if you have one 4.Call 000 immediately if you have any concerns about the child's health.

01.01.2022 Report Cards: Semester Report cards have been prepared by teachers and will be made available in week 10. Families who have signed up for QParents will have access to their child’s report card on Tuesday December 8.... Report cards will be emailed to all families on Wednesday December 9. If you have recently changed your email address, please ensure that the school has been made aware of this change.

01.01.2022 Did somebody say cupcakes? Cupcakes will be available to buy over the counter at tuckshop this Friday, and next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. $1 each. Tuckshops last day for 2020 will be Friday 4th of December.
