16.01.2022 Want your own miniature Pine Tree? 1. Go to the park or wherever you can find a Pine tree and bring home a cone (preferably one that has already fallen on the ground). Try to find one that has not fully opened or completely dried out yet, as the seeds will have already fallen out from inside the cone. 2. Stand the cone in a pot of well draining soil, so that most of it stands out. 3. Water it with a small amount of water every day, not too much as excess water will rot the c...one. 4. Be patient, after some time, a tiny tree will sprout and begin to grow. 5. Congratulations - you have a little piece of forest in your own home Try this with the kids and let them watch the progress of creating their own miniature Pine Tree You're also doing something for nature

It's also Magpie season Don't fear these beautiful birds, just be careful and take caution when you are out walking They are highly intelligent birds and very protective of their family When they swoop, they are not intentionally out to attack or hurt you. They are simply trying to protect their nest and babies by scaring you off.... Try wearing a hat with eyes on the back of it or wear a pair of sunglasses on the back of your head If they think you are watching them, they won't swoop.
