16.01.2022 Do your part in keeping WA Safe! Geographe Leisure Centre and Naturaliste Community Centre will be maintaining a contact register of patrons, staff, visitors and contractors for COVID-19 contact tracing. This is mandatory from Saturday 5th December, however we have introduced tracing as of today, to allow patrons time to adjust.... All persons that enter the facilities will be required to register each time they enter in one of the following ways. 1. Members can continue to scan their membership band or toggle into the relevant area of the facility. 2. Non-members must download the SafeWA app. This is a free system that uses QR codes to register attendance. QR codes will be displayed throughout both centres. 3. Alternatively record your name and number on the paper-based contact register if you choose not to use the SafeWA app. Thank you for your cooperation.

02.01.2022 Temporary Closure of Wet-Side Changing Rooms Due to some essential maintenance required in the wet-side changing rooms, they will be closed from lunch time tomorrow until approximately lunch time Monday. 01.01.2022 Introducing one of our little toddler superstars in term 4. Master Teddy started swimming with us in term 3, although Dad would say swimming was a very loose term, was more of a controlled crying session! Ted was not impressed with being in a class, going under the water, splashing, the teacher, really just didn’t love anything about it. When his sister said she loved her swimming teacher (they both had the same teacher), Ted’s words were, no I don’t like her. Persiste...nce was the key word for term 3, then they made the call to come back again in term 4 (we love when parents persist) , back with the same teacher. And we had a break through! Every week got better and better, the smile was shining, he was cheeky, he knew we wanted him to jump in, and he would count with us, then sit down and slide in safely with a grin on his face. Teddy has come so far, he lights up within the class now and he does everything. He’s under, he’s on his back, he’s kicking and splashing and he’s just having a great time.
