25.01.2022 If you are heading to States this weekend please ensure you leave plenty of time to find parking. As always the venue is used by a multitude of sports and WA B...asketball League have a grading tournament on this weekend. Please be patient with parking attendants and give yourself extra time to arrive so you dont miss your athletes call room times.

19.01.2022 Hi Parents, This is just a reminder regarding the Practical Training Sessions for all new Key Officials, Starters/Check Starters and Timing Gates Controllers which is being held this Thursday and Sunday. Please click on Team App events to register your RSVP for one of the two sessions. This is a requirement to ensure our competition runs smoothly. Also, all Key Officials and Starters/Check Starters are required to complete the Level 1 online Accreditation in the event or r...oster that you chose when joining Little Athletics. The online course is very straightforward and takes only 30 minutes - here is the link: https://www.athletics.com.au/officials/education/ Go to the very bottom of the page and select Officials eLearning Level 1 and 2 orange button - you complete the level 1 course for your event. This year Hamersley ...has been allocated Long Jump Site 2 parent help there are 9 events over the three days at this site 5 parent helpers per event are required. Note that there are rosters for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so make sure you select the correct day. Please insert your mobile number and full name including surname of child if different to your name. 17.01.2022 Information regarding qualification for STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS: This has also been posted to Hamersley Team App. The top two placed athletes in event finals have a...utomatically qualified for State Championships. For those families with children who placed 3rd, 4th, 5th etc . and are wondering if their child qualified based on being the next best performing athletes across all four Zone Championships we will have a list of all qualifiers from LAWA this week. It will be posted to Team App - make sure notifications are switched ON. Nomination for State Championships for all athletes that qualified is via your ResultsHQ login under the nominations area. The cost is $10 per event nominated. Nominations open 21 February Nominations close 26 February If athletes elect NOT to take up their selection as per the above criteria, a roll-down will occur, where LAWA will select the next best athlete to compete as follows: Roll-down entries open 4 March Roll-down entries close 8 March U16 and U17 athletes nominate directly for entry into State Championships entries close 8 March. Please note, that as per the Yellow Book parent participation policy, ALL families must complete a roster duty if they have a child registered for the State Championships. 13.01.2022 HAMERSLEY PRESENTATION DAY AND SEASON WIND-UP Date: Saturday 7th March Time: 9am (arrive at 8:45 please) Venue: Charles Riley Reserve, in front of the club r...ooms The Hamersley Presentation Day recognises the achievements of athletes in a variety of awards: - Life Member perpetual trophies - PB award winners - Age group winners - Medal Day medallists - Athletes that broke records - Club Relays Trophy - Relay Coaches - Volunteer Service Awards - 8 and 11 year Athletes A summary of last years award winners is listed on pages 34 to 36 in your Yellow Book. Information on how the awards are calculated is covered on pages 29 and 30. WIND-UP: After the recipients are presented with their awards, all athletes and siblings are invited to stay and enjoy the inflatable entertainment provided by the Centre at Charles Riley Reserve. Families are asked to bring a picnic rug or folding chairs for their family (chairs to be set up at the rear please). Out of courtesy to the award winners, can we please ask that all children remain with their parents in the presentation area in front of the club rooms until the conclusion of the presentations. The 96 Degrees coffee cart will be serving coffee from 8:30am and the canteen will be open after the presentations to sell remaining stock. All Hamersley families are welcome to attend. No RSVP is required.

12.01.2022 STATES TRAINING Centre based States Training is being offered by Hamersleys Level 2 and 3 accredited coaches at Charles Riley on Thursdays from 5 to 6:30pm.... Training will commence this Thursday, 20th February. All events will be offered for athletes U9 to U15 that qualified for State Championships and any U16 and U17 athletes who have registered for States. The cost is $5 per session (cash please). Existing HDS athletes are not required to pay for these sessions and can sign-in as normal. Training will be structured as follows:- 5-6pm all field events and hurdles 6-6:30pm sprints and middle distance A note for throwers - you are welcome to split the first hour into two half-hour stints at different throws. If you intend for your child to attend these sessions, please RSVP with their name, age group and events to [email protected] by Wednesday.

Please check if your child has been offered an additional event/s via the roll-down spots. If they are on the list you can nominate in RHQ. This must be done by Sunday 8 March. 2. Check the nominations summary which shows all events registered for each child. If you have missing events or queries, please contact [email protected]. 3. Parent roster link has been provided. Please choose a roster duty from what is available.

10.01.2022 Training is on again tonight from 5-6pm. This is the last week of Monday only training. Next week we will recommence Mondays and Wednesdays with a slightly longer training session starting at 5pm and finishing at 6.30pm. Athletes do not need to attend both sessions, however, both sessions are offered to all age groups.
