22.01.2022 STATE LEAGUE COACHES ANNOUNCED The GLC committee is pleased to announce that Stu Robb and Henry Lawson (2020 assistant coach) will be returning next year to coach the senior women’s and the senior men’s sides respectively. We are excited for Stu and Henry to pick up where they left off when we return to pre-season training in the new year. It looks like both sides will be coming out strong next year (especially the women with 3 senior players returning from injury and baby m...aking duties (Bonnie, Bec and Jaimi). We say goodbye to Craig Schicker, who has been coaching the Men’s side for the past 6 years. We thank Craig for his commitment and passion to the team during this time. Stu will be assisted next year with one of Australia’s finest lacrosse players Sascha Newmarch. This is Sascha’s first senior coaching role at Glenelg. Sascha played for Australia in the Senior Women’s World Cup 1993, 2001, and was vice captain in 2005 (Gold Medal). Sascha was one of the first players to receive a scholarship to University of Maryland in the US, where she went on to win 4 national championships (1995-1998). Marc Stilgoe remains a part of the coaching team as Henry’s assistant coach. Marc represented Australian in the U19 Mens Team and has been an integral part of the men’s coaching group for the past 6 years. Henry will be announcing a second assistant coach in the coming days. No doubt with the knowledge and experience these legends of the game have to offer, we are excited to see what 2021 holds for our senior teams. Keep your eyes out for 2021 coaching advertisements and further coaching announcements!

20.01.2022 *** AGM POSTPONED *** Please note that the GLC AGM scheduled for this Wednesday night has officially been postponed due to the current COVID-19 situation in SA. The committee has taken the decision that there is no benefit in gathering for our AGM due to unnecessary risk to our members and the general public. A new date has not been set at this stage due to the uncertainty around the State Government restrictions that have and may be put in place. The committee's intention is... to discuss the situation on a weekly basis and provide the necessary 14 days notification to the AGM date. We apologise and hope that all our members understand. For now- stay safe and be COVID smart! GLC Committee. See more
