25.01.2022 The Premier today announced that schools and preschools will reopen to all students on Monday 23 November. As a result our school will be open and operating as normal. We will not be offering an alternative home-based learning program. OSHC will operate as usual. As the Chief Public Health Officer said, just because the hard lockdown is being lifted does not mean that the risks associated with COVID-19 have passed. As a result we will minimise the number of people coming and ...going from our site. Wherever possible, please drop and collect your child at the gate and maintain the appropriate physical distance from other adults. More information on excursions, events and sporting activities, and use of masks will be available soon. Thank you very much for your support over the last couple of days. We look forward to having your child back at school on Monday. See more

Anthony will now return to his Deputy Principal position and Malcolm McArdle to the Assistant Principal role. We welcome Shane Misso as our new Principal in Term 3.

14.01.2022 The Coronavirus has impacted everyone around the world and life has changed. In this confusing and unprecedented time, we want to sincerely thank you all for coming together and looking after each so well here in our school community. We would like to give a huge thankyou to our Principal Mr Fischer for his incredible leadership. Mr Fischer has worked tirelessly and shown that his positivity, energy and strong leadership qualities have ensured learning and wellbeing remain o...ur top priorities. We thank all of the school leaders, teachers and SSO’s for working so hard to keep our school a place of learning where we can come together, smile and be grateful for the amazing community we have. During this time, we know it is important to also give thanks to Caroline in the Canteen, our beautiful Admin staff, Zoran in our IT Department, the Groundsmen, OSHC educators and amazing cleaners who are doing additional work for us during the Coronavirus Pandemic. For those of you are home, find time to breathe, spend time together, play, read, smile and laugh despite the adversities that may be thrown your way. Change, particularly when it is the result of an unprecedented event, can result in people experiencing a range of emotions and can trigger behaviours that may not have been witnessed or experienced before. Children may be impacted by fear and anxiety. Maintaining a stable routine can be extremely grounding and remind students of what aspects of their lives are within their control. Your own routines and rituals will become really important at this time when some parts of your life are disrupted. Here are some tips on how to ensure your children are supported: Give your children extra attention and reassurance. Where possible, minimise their exposure to media and social media that may heighten anxiety Include your children in plans and activities around the house Maintain routine around sleep and meal times as much as possible If you believe your child requires additional support, here are some Support Services: Kids Helpline 1800 55 1800 or kidshelpline.com.au Life Line 13 11 14 or lifeline.org.au Beyond Blue 1300 22 46 36 or beyondblue.org.au Headspace 1800 650 890 or headspace.org.au 1800 Respect 1800 61 44 34 Suicide call back service 1300 659 467 or suicidecallbackservice.org.au SANE Australia 1800 187 263 or sane.org ReachOut reachout.com.au National Coronavirus Helpline 1800 020 080 This time together will be remembered and it is how we now choose to create memories that will be telling in the future. As Franklin Roosevelt stated, Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear. Take care everyone. We look forward to working with you all next term. Ms Beswick and the Senior Leaders
