25.01.2022 I have spent the last fourteen years living in this amazing place. Set in park-like gardens, the house dates back to the early 20th century, with marble edges verandahs, ornate high ceilings and glorious open fireplaces. The history of Glenray Park is fascinating.

24.01.2022 Sunset tonight, from the window beside the kitchen table. The sky at Yetholme is generous!

22.01.2022 Meet the grandkids......

19.01.2022 I have listed the farm for sale. Very sad, but many happy memories of the fifteen years spent here. http://raywhiteruralemmsmooney.com.au/nsw/yetholme/1276127/

18.01.2022 In 1923 Mabel Walshaw (who built the main house) decided to provide a community hall for meetings and dances. It's at the back of the house with it's own toilet block. Every time I step through the door I picture the local farming families gathering - perhaps the barn dance? More recently it was used for children's ballet classes. It's a classic heritage building!

18.01.2022 The farm was sold at auction last Friday - to a family from the Blue Mountains who will love it as much as we have over the last fifteen years. I'm not sad - just grateful for the time I have spent in this glorious place. Lots of happy memories.

15.01.2022 Little known fact: Yetholme has an altitude of 1,280 m which is higher than Mt Victoria at 1043. Wonderful snowfalls, several times a year - sometimes well into spring.

11.01.2022 During all the seasons

11.01.2022 Always a lot going on - in the garden, with the animals, in the kitchen.....

08.01.2022 The first really cool autumn morning - this was taken just after dawn. The house is cosy, and tonight we will probably have a fire in the family room.

03.01.2022 Originally called 'Ickleton', the homestead was built by William and Mabel Walshaw in the early 19th century. Mabel was very public spirited, and donated funds to build the community Walshaw Hall next to the Anglican Cathedral in Bathurst. This pic of what is now Glenray Park was taken when the house was about 5 years old. Note the traditional circular rose garden in the front lawn - now longer there (although there are roses just about everywhere else!).

01.01.2022 Thanks Eamonn Snow Parsons for the iPad pic.
