20.01.2022 Some good press in today's Daily Examiner.

15.01.2022 The committee of GRASPS is disappointed by the decision by the Clarence Valley Council not to enter into a lease for the station and surrounding area, however is by no means deterred. The decision not to enter into a lease was based on a report by Jardine Lloyd Thompson who are an international insurance consultancy firm. By their own admission they did not seek any legal input into the document and there is no information available on the qualifications of the people who wro...te the report or undertook the risk assessments. We are further disheartened that the authors of the report made no approach to GRASPS to discuss our risk management plans, nor have they provided any evidence of any attempt for them to visit the site. We believe the report is flawed as it is based on perceived risks. There is no reference to ARTC policies which GRASPS was willing to adopt in order to make the site safe. There is also no consideration for the processes which would ensure safe working on the station in its current position. In addition the consultants reference that we do not have the financial means to complete the project, yet at no stage did they ask for a current break down of our current finances. We continue to believe that this area should be a public space, enjoyed by the public. We are concerned that the removal of any assets will benefit only a very small number of people. GRASPS at no stage wanted to put the Clarence Valley Council at risk, nor rely on the rate payers to fund our project. It’s offensive that rate payers paid for a report that was assessed using butchers’ paper and post it notes. This is by no means the end for GRASPS.

15.01.2022 For your information... (yay!)
