25.01.2022 While Global Hand Charity can't help with the first two, with just a $30 donation we can help restore the vision of an underprivileged person living in a remote Cambodian village by funding their Cataract operation. This surgery is critical for them as it restores and strengthens their ability to work and provide for their families. Give the gift of sight this Christmas! Remember that every cent of your cash donation goes those in need. #GlobalHandCharity #GHC #Cataract #HelpThoseInNeed #EveryLittleBitMatters #ChristmasDonation #Donation #Donate

08.01.2022 Global Hand Charity has been at the forefront of Eyecare Outreach programs in 3rd world countries for a decade. We arrange for volunteer Optometrists from Australia to travel (at their own expense) to remote regions of Laos, Sri Lanka, and Cambodia. During these trips, approximately 2,500 people have their eyesight tested and are provided with a free pair of glasses, while those in need of Ophthalmological surgery are sent to a surgeon - all free of costs. In a major fundrais...ing initiative last year, we raised funds to purchase portable, high tech refraction testing equipment to allow for more accurate testing of patients during all our 1-week outreach programs. In a new initiative to extend the use of the equipment, we made an agreement with the Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam, whereby we purchase optometry hardware for them to use in the classroom and on Outreach programs. We expect that in addition to helping students learn and practice on modern equipment, the University will test an additional 25,000 people on top of those our own Outreach program will see. Special thanks go to Mihn Ahn Tran from Hanoi Medical University and GHC Committee member, Neilsen De Souza, for their work in concluding this agreement. Please help us to make a difference, donate today knowing 100% of your donations will go to projects just like this one.

01.01.2022 GHC NEWS UPDATE Yesterday, our chairman, Mark Horwood had the great pleasure of meeting Professor Sunil Shah - a premier eye surgeon at the Birmingham and Midlands Eye Centre in the UK. Discussions centred around the relationship between the Khmer Sight Foundation and Global Hand Charity and how working collaboratively will greatly benefit underprivileged people living in the remote areas of Cambodia. Together we can provide teams of volunteer optometrists and surgeons from ...across the world to ensure the missions success. But.. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! With the scale of this mission, expenses for consumables increases threefold. By donating $100, you will help pay for 2 operations or 30 pairs of prescription glasses. Every little bit helps!
