23.01.2022 HEADLIGHT RESTORATION All of today’s headlight lenses are made of polycarbonate plastic in order to make them impact resistant and easier to mould into specific shapes. The headlight lens coating that is used by manufacturers starts to wear out after a few years, due to harsh UV rays, car exhaust fumes, extreme temperatures and debris. By doing so, it makes the lens look cloudy and foggy, giving it a discolored and oxidized appearance. This discoloration inhibits the light ou...tput necessary for safe night driving. Most people do not know that not only do worn or cloudy headlights look bad, but they also reduce light output by as much as 90%. That is a huge difference in whether you can effectively see or be seen when driving at night. New headlights can cost hundreds of dollars to replace, but there is a cheaper alternative that is just as good. At Glossworx Auto Detailing we offer a professional headlight restoration service. 22.01.2022 Always nice to receive thank you messages from new clients. Completed our premium wash service on this RAV4 yesterday, customer was very happy with the results and booked in for a exterior Polish/detail package for next month. 18.01.2022 Manual Monday Another new customer from a referral. This awesome Heron White HSV GTS received our attention today. This one had a lot of of industrial fallout over the whole car so the process started with using an acid-free and pH balanced iron removal spray. This decontamination process can be seen as the purple bleeding in the first photos. The entire car was then clay barred to remove all remaining embedded contaminants. Polishing alone does not remove this harmful fal...lout as it is embedded in the clear coat and if not removed can cause premature corrosion and clear coat failure. The car then received a single stage Polish and sealant for protection. Very happy customer. The best kind . If your paintwork is rough and gritty like this one used to be, I can fix it! 15.01.2022 Wheel Wednesday Something a bit different today. Built by Rover in the mid nineties in limited numbers the MG RV8 was a modern version of the popular MGB but packs a punch being fitted with an aluminum 3.9 litre V8 and a much more luxurious cockpit. This car sounds awesome ! This one is painted in a stunning green called Woodcote Green.... Polished and waxed today to freshen up her coat and she is now on the market for sale.
