By experiencing that very trauma, we can have the most compassion for what needs healing on this planet. We choose our lives (in broad strokes at least). We knew we could experience these things and not succumb to hate. We knew we could experience cruelty and still not become cruel ourselves. We knew we could use our suffering and darkness to awaken. We knew we could clear karma, heal ourselves, and raise our vibration and consciousness out of the most unlikely of circumstances. We are warriors. This is why we are here.
