12.01.2022 A funny picture to describe a sad situation... It's been a very stressful full months for all of us at Gloww Beauty. The uncertainty of the if/when we would be able to open again after the shutdown played heavily on all our hearts, but we kept our heads up and pushed forward with smiles on our faces. The financial burden placed on the business has been unimaginable but when you have girls as fantastic as we do, you know better times are right around the corner. Having said th...at, we do need your support, both financially and socially, and we thank every clients who has walked through our doors. You have all played a part in rebuilding our little salon. Unfortunately, an increasing number of clients have been less supportive, in fact, they have been the exact opposite. It is so disappointing that we are, yet again, talking about the amount of clients no-showing their appointments. Today we had FIVE people not show up. FIVE different people, all of whom received an email confirming their appointment and a text message reminding them of that appointment. We understand that things pop up in life and you can't always get to your appointment, but all it takes is a phone call, an email, a text message, a message on Facebook or Instagram... anything, to let us know that you can't come. And when we call, please answer to let us know what is going on. If you don't show up to your appointment, we are paying staff to sit around and wait and you are denying another client the chance to have a treatment done at that time. It's not fair on anybody... yet it happens daily. This is not a rant, this is just us letting you know of the implications of not showing up, or of cancelling last minute. You are costing a small family business money, money that is desperately needed to keep the business alive. To the vast majority of our clients who always do the right thing, we thank you. Given the current conditions we didn't feel right posting about Christmas and New Years, instead focusing on spending time with our families. The salon is open as usual from Monday 6th January and there are still appointment available which can be secured using our ONLINE BOOKING platform. On Saturday conditions in the salon were perfect but that may have changed over the weekend and if our #GlowwGirls don't feel safe, ...they will make the decision to close. 05.01.2022 Given the recent developments regarding the Covid-19 virus, Gloww Beauty have decided to implement a number of measures to ensure our staff and clients remain safe. The following measures will be in place until further notice; Staff members will wear face masks and disposable gloves during every treatment. No handling of cash. All payments must be made by card.... Please advise us if you have a cold/flu or have been overseas in the last two weeks prior to your appointment and we will happily reschedule it for another time. Any clients showing signs of a cold/flu will be asked to leave the salon immediately. All seating will be removed from reception. Please wait at the door until a therapist brings you through to the treatment room. Upon arrival you will be asked to sanitise your hands and you will be provided with disposable gloves. Products on shelves are not to be touched under any circumstances. If you would like to see a product one of our Gloww Girls will show it to you and answer any questions you have. Although we love chatting to clients, we ask that conversation be kept to a minimum. Products and Gift Vouchers can be purchased over the phone (02 5100 5361). They can be collected in store or posted to you. We are in constant contact with ACT Health to ensure we are doing everything within our power to stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
