20.01.2022 *** UPDATE: The Department of Health and Human Services has advised that Stage 4 restrictions mean that you are only allowed to visit a cemetery if it is within the 5km radius of your postcode, unless you are attending a funeral. As announced on Sunday 2 August, a state of disaster has been declared, and stage four restrictions now apply in metropolitan Melbourne. We can confirm that our sites are open for essential services: burial, cremation and collection of cremated rema...ins. Funerals can proceed with up to ten people in attendance, with live-streaming available for those who are unable to attend. We understand how important it is for members of our communities to look after their mental health at this time, and we know that visiting a cemetery to pay your respects is an important part of grieving. In order to comply with state government directions, we ask that you only visit a cemetery where absolutely essential, and consider alternative ways of remembering your loved ones. Remember to comply with stage 4 restrictions including: Wearing a face covering, unless you have a lawful exception Practising good hygiene (washing and sanitising your hands) Maintaining social distancing Staying at home Together we can protect our loved ones, friends, colleagues, health care workers and communities.
