23.01.2022 As a registered provider of Assistive Technology (AT) for the NDIS, GMobility can assist therapists and their clients with the AT service request and provision process. GMobility is a registered NDIS provider for the following Support Categories: Assistive Products for Personal Care and Safety... Personal Mobility Equipment Assistive Equipment for Recreation Assistive Products for Household Tasks Home Modifications THE EQUIPMENT REQUEST/PROVISION PROCESS: GMobility’s status as a registered provider means that most NDIS AT service requests for standard items can be quickly and easily processed. In many situations the equipment can be supplied to NDIS participants on the same day. More complex, high risk or specialised assistive technology requires a written report detailing clinical reasoning and justification of recommended assistive technology prior to approval of funding. GMobility can assist with the provision of equipment for these trials and quotes to support applications. Please visit the NDIS website for more information.

19.01.2022 DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS’ AFFAIRS (DVA) REHABILITATION APPLIANCE PROGRAM The Rehabilitation Appliance Program (RAP) is an Australian Government program, administered by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, which provides aids and appliances to eligible members of the veteran community to help them maintain their independence as they grow older. RAP appliances are available to Gold and White Card holders with a clinically assessed need. Aids and appliances are provided based on ...a referral from a Local Medical Officer or health professional (e.g. an occupational therapist). As a registered agent for the Country Care Group, GMobility is able to accept referrals for the provision of aids to daily living, surgical appliances and home modifications under the DVA Rehabilitation Appliance Program. Referrals should be forwarded to GMobility using the below RAP Direct Order Form. Visit the DVA website to learn more.

18.01.2022 Introducing the MoVis Scoot Control A problem often encountered with attendant wheelchair controls has been the difficulty in handling the wheelchair for attendant users. The MoVis Scoot Control is a wheelchair control module used by the attendant or caregiver to control the power chair over long distances outdoor, to manoeuvre the chair in tight spaces or to take over the control of the user in difficult circumstances. The product is mounted on the backside of the wheelcha...ir generally with a height and angle adjustable bracket. The system can be used as a stand-alone controller for a power wheelchair or can be used as an alternate drive to complement the user control system. R-Net control system is a prerequisite for fitment of this system. We do have a demo chair set up with the Scoot module fitted and are able to provide trials at request. Within our area of operation GMobility offers a full-service delivery option which includes the delivery of the equipment into your home or facility including setup & instruction on the operational and functional aspects of the equipment. Where setup and instruction is not required, delivery via courier is also available (note to ensure a high standard of service this option is only available on smaller, non-complex items). *Please note we are still offering in-home delivery, with our staff following all COVID health and safety regulations. 02.01.2022 At GMobility we understand that an important part of finding the right assistive technology solution is the opportunity to trial equipment in your own environment. Larger & more complex items are available for trial in conjunction with one of our experienced Assistive Technology Specialists. These trials are often conducted in conjunction with an allied health professional such as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist and can take place in our showroom, at your home or... in a hospital or clinic. Smaller, less complex items are available for trial in our showroom. If an in-home trial is required GMobility can assist to facilitate this through our loan program available to Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
