13.01.2022 John Mutsaers, the well known and loved Gippsland artist, is holding his 39th solo exhibition in the Wonthaggi Art Space from 23rd February to the 29th March. About the human right to freedom, this unusual and exciting exhibition has inspired writings and musical compositions to complement the artworks. A writing competition is part of the exhibition and John is inviting writers, using the artworks as a catalyst, to share their understanding of ‘Freedom’ in 2,000 words or les...s. Entries can be fiction or non-fiction, in prose, poetry or play writing. First prize is one of John’s framed drawings. Visit John’s website for details: http://www.johnmutsaers.com/. Renowned composer and performer, Mark Finsterer, will play his ‘ Freedom’ compositions during the opening of the Exhibition. I have also attached a more detailed statement from John about his life and works. We would appreciate it if you could forward this information to people who might be interested in either viewing the exhibition and/or creating a response to John’s concepts. With thanks Mary & Frank Schooneveldt
