24.01.2022 Tino Ceberano Hanshi is spending the week in Kauai training with the team at the IGK Hawaii Kapaa dojo. He was interviewed today by reporter Caleb Loehrer of t...he local newspaper The Garden Island. Caleb was intensely interested in the rich history of Tino Hanshi being born on the island, only seven years after Chojun Miyagi Sensei visited Kauai in 1934 and Tino Hanshis many decades of teaching martial arts. The Garden Island also covered Chojun Miyagis trip to Kauai some 85 years ago. Tino Ceberano Hanshi was interviewed last week by ABC Radio Brisbane after his daughter Kate let slip in an interview ten days earlier that she has a Dad who is a renowned martial artist. A few days later Tino Ceberano Hanshi was awarded the Order of the Medal of Australia in the Queens Birthday Honours so they called him and interviewed him a second time within a few days. 18.01.2022 On Sunday the 23rd of Feb Tino Hanshi conducted a seminar in Toowoomba at Revolution Boxing and Combatives where our own Anthony Renshi runs his classes. We were taken taken through a warmup using single yantoc (Stick) and then progressed onto a series of empty hand drills. It was then all put together with drill for defense against weapons. What a wonderful group, with martial art practitioners from, Kung Fu, Muay Thai, Karate, Tea Kwon Do and many more joining together in the harmony of learning.

12.01.2022 Director, stuntman and actor Boy Roque left the I.G.K., many family and friends in mourning after he passed away April 9th 2019. He was involved in 121 films and television series throughout his career. He was inspirational to many as a teacher and friend and will be sadly missed.

08.01.2022 What better way to complete celebrations of our Master Teacher, Constantino Ceberano Hanshis Birthday this week than to gather and train. Teaching, training and sharing are the things that Tino Hanshi loves to do most. Spring in Queensland produced plenty of perspiration, as Hanshi put the small group of senior grades through drills for the purpose of preparing for upcoming workshops. As well as a few progressions to some of the Goju Kalis weapon Anyos (Kata). A great afternoon with friends followed by coffee and some planning of future activities.

07.01.2022 On Sunday the 28th of May a number of Tino Ceberano (OAM) Hanshis students attempted their gradings under the watchful eye of their Master Teacher, and a very senior panel including Professor Ray Lea, John Collette Shihan, Master Elwyn Gabutero. Grades attempted were from Shodan Ho through to Rokudan. On Tino Hanshis return from a recent overseas trip the gradees got together on Sunday the 14th of July for a social gathering in Brisbane and were awarded their grades and ce...rtificates. The following grades were presented by Hanshi. 06.01.2022 Hanshi Tino Ceberano (9th Dan), Pangulong Guro of the F.E.W. (Filipino Elusive Warrior) and the I.G.K. express great sadness on the loss of Guro Boy Roque in the Philippines. He was a great man and brother to Tino Hanshi and other F.E.W. members. Guro Boy had visited Australia creating strong friendships. We send our prayers and condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

06.01.2022 Got to spend Saturday afternoon catching up with our Master Teacher, Tino Ceberano Hanshi. It had been a long time due to the pandamic, but how great it was to be able to spend time talking martial arts and doing some training. Hanshi is well and cannot wait to get back out there to train with everyone. Chris

Ray Floro has instructed the US Special Forces, Korean Specia...l Forces, various SWAT teams, New Zealand Police and combined with Tino Ceberano Hanshis many escapades teaching police forces in Spain, the Philippines and Australia it was a fascinating insight, especially the guillotine choke hold I was stupid enough to ask to be explained and demonstrated.
