25.01.2022 Recently completed a project in the Brisbane River with Comber Consultants. What an exciting range of projects out team get to be apart of! Archaeological digs! Thanks to the Comber Consulting team for a smooth flowing project. Very well organised and a pleasure to be a part of the work they performed. Greg Sweetman designed and created a sieve for them which worked a treat! Some out of the box thinking with great results.

25.01.2022 Our dance instructor came to visit today. She reminded us all to take time in life to dance! Greg heeded her words and mustered his inner ballet diva.

24.01.2022 Don't you love it when a day goes to plan, customer is happy and team are home in time for dinner ? This customer needed a top up of their rock and the team delivered that perfectly. Well done fellas

24.01.2022 Sometimes boat ramps just cant be saved. The owner of this home is getting his old ramp taken away today. Gold Coast Barges have 2 rigs that can remove, restore or install boat ramps. The Gold Coast City Council have a specific design they approve and there is a process but new ramps are achievable for most canal waterfront owners. Give us a call to find out how you can get your ramp in, gone or fixed!

24.01.2022 Now you see it. Now you dont. Its as simple as that. Is it time to say goodbye to that poor old timber jetty that has had better days? Worried about it collapsing and hitting your neighbours gorgeous new yacht? YIKES! Give us call and lets get it out of your nightmares

24.01.2022 Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No!!!! It is Super Sassy the flying boat off to help a client that needs her in a lake with no easy access to boat ramp. I would post the video but I am not sure watching a boat being craned in is a jaw dropper !

24.01.2022 We are in Clear Island Waters again. Been a long time but time to help a few clients sort out their revetment rock issues. Finishing up the day as the sun sets . What a beautiful day .

22.01.2022 Equipping a team to go to work these days is an effort. So appreciative of our team in Newport Waters who are out there getting it done. My hat is off to you boys. It is tough battling the mind and worrying about the future while working and living away from your family so I want to publicly thank you for your commitment. Like every small business at the moment , we are keeping our team as safe as we can while keeping them working. Thanks to all of the clients an prospecti...ve clients who have supported our business in the last weeks - calling for quotes and booking work. We can get through this if we all look forward to a future and understand that this is just a bend in the river. There is plenty more beyond this bend. One of our teams are at Redcliffe cleaning up the beachfronts for the Moreton Bay Council. Doing a great job fellas. Be safe.

22.01.2022 The war on wrecks is in full swing. This was a houseboat in the Broadwater last week. Poor old pensioner with no insurance . So many boat owners lose their vessels to sea floor because they dont check their bilge pumps are in working order. Boat owners- please get insurance !!! ... And check your vessel regularly. This fella lost everything.

20.01.2022 Backyard Blitz today. This client transformed his frontage with the help of some gorgeous trees brought to his door by our barge and the team at King Landscapes. Great work fellas! Looks great!

20.01.2022 Working from the Deck of Dumbo and Kirra to do an archaeological dig in Brisbane River . Tim Stewart - our team member working hard on our 8t excavator.

20.01.2022 Christmas is coming and a good tidy up of beachfronts - beach reprofiling is something many waterfront home owners do around this time of year so the kids and grandkids have a lovely sandy beach to play on over the holidays. Not finished in the photos but it will look sensation al when it is done.

19.01.2022 Wow that deluge was amazing! Unfortunately for some vessel owners it has caused a very heart breaking start to the weekend. This client first cab off the rank today. His vessel is now afloat - great work team! Dont let the rain stop you fellas! Help these boat owners

18.01.2022 Some days on the water you just have to stop and admire the canvas before you. This was what our team on the Logan River had to put up with yesterday. Wow Mother Nature . Simply stunning!

16.01.2022 What a week at Gold Coast Barges! Amazing team working hard to get our machinery back into action for 2020. Then the much needed rain came along and suddenly we had a second surprise guest arrive at the depot. Meet Depot. A very young king parrot who has adopted us it seems. The pug is not overly impressed but not upset enough to rise from his royal bed chamber.

16.01.2022 Ahhhh Afternoon coffee you incredible beast. Love at first sight ! Extra shot of your exquisite flavour makes my heart flutter (literally - I get palputations if I have a second cup) and your creamy fluffy froth makes my menopausal moustache quiver . Let the day begin.

14.01.2022 From tears to triumph! The Gold Coast Barges team worked into the night last night and again this morning to get this houseboat floating again. Thankfully the owners will be able to motor on. Some houseboat owners aren't so lucky. Well done team ! Unlike other vessels that have recently sunk in our waterways, this vessel is beautifully maintained and the owners were aboard. They acted quickly, paid to get it rectified (not at tax payers expense) and no contamination of the waterway occurred. The owners appointed a salvage crew straight away and the vessel was able to be floated quickly. Note to potential buyers of any vessel- learn everything you can about your vessel from the previous owner before you take the keys!

14.01.2022 Buskers By The Creek is on again 19/20th October. Our spudded Dumb barge Dumbo is the perfect over water stage for the skateboard and BMX half pipe. Looking forward to this amazing community event . Hope the weather holds and the crowds support Cindy and her crew this year. Arent these photos stunning!

13.01.2022 Vessel owners - Wet weather warning. Your vessel may become a salvage project for our team this weekend if you don’t check your scuppers! If you have a bilge pump- might be time to hop aboard and check it is ok. Wet weather for a few days in SEQld. The photo below could be your vessel if you don’t keep an eye on it. Salvage is something we can help you with if you get into strife but in most cases it is basic maintenance that causes vessels to go down in bad weather .... We have salvaged and lifted sunken trawlers to sunken tinnies. We hope you don’t need us- but here if you do.

13.01.2022 'Buskers By The Creek' is on again 19/20th October. Our spudded Dumb barge 'Dumbo' is the perfect over water stage for the skateboard and BMX half pipe. Looking forward to this amazing community event . Hope the weather holds and the crowds support Cindy and her crew this year. Aren't these photos stunning!

09.01.2022 4 vessels safely brought back to the surface for their owners today. So pleased our team threw off the blankets and jumped out of bed and came when the call went out at 7 on a Saturday morning. What a fabulous group of people . Here is vessel 3 coming to a marina to be repaired. Imagine waking up to the first photo. Check your scuppers ! If you dont clean them barnacles grow and prevent them from auto closing .... so easy to drown a boat . So glad we were able to quickly get this one back up today.

09.01.2022 Heavy rain and boats.... what could go wrong?!! Make sure you check your scuppers , ensure your bungs are out if you are dry docked and get your docking system serviced regularly. This vessel was lucky - we pulled her back to safety. Great job team!.

09.01.2022 Getting down and dirty today. doing a little dredge and under water obstacle removal for a client in the Brisbane River.

08.01.2022 Now you see it. Now you don't. It's as simple as that. Is it time to say goodbye to that poor old timber jetty that has had better days? Worried about it collapsing and hitting your neighbour's gorgeous new yacht? YIKES! Give us call and let's get it out of your nightmares

08.01.2022 Doing some jetty renovations this week in Surfers. Sometimes an older jetty just needs a face lift. We are using decking products that are recycled plastic . This jetty wont need painting or oiling !!

07.01.2022 Dont you love it when a day goes to plan, customer is happy and team are home in time for dinner ? This customer needed a top up of their rock and the team delivered that perfectly. Well done fellas
