24.01.2022 GCRS 2020 DEVELOPMENT MEMBERS UPDATE We have been working hard to get you back to skating. Please keep an eye out for an email sometime over the next week detailing an expected return to skating date & the changes we have had to make in order to adhere to Govt & Gold Coast City Council guidelines and restrictions. 11.01.2022 LEARN TO SKATE Friday and Sunday learn to skate lessons are ONLY AVAILABLE TO CURRENT 2020 CLUB MEMBERS EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY! We apologize to anyone who has been attending or is intending to commence our $10 come and try lessons. ... Due to COVID -19 we are governed by restrictions and policy to protect skaters and coaches. In light of this ever evolving situation and guidelines that are being constantly upgraded GCRS will be re-evaluating the availability of our learn to skate program as changes occur. We ask that any club members who are unwell or have travelled overseas recently to please not attend learn to skate! We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

07.01.2022 UPDATE FOR GCRS CURRENT 2020 DEVELOPMENT MEMBERS GCRS Learn to Skate program falls under community sport that is not able to re-commence at this stage. GCRS Committee has been working hard to put in place Covid-19 compliant plans for a return to skating for all GCRS members. All current GCRS Development members will receive email notification when a return to skating date has been finalised. As you will all be aware this is an ever changing situation. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work hard to get you back skating as soon as QLD Government regulations allow.

06.01.2022 GCRS UPDATE TO THE WIDER SKATING COMMUNITY We know there are lots of you out there who are missing our monthly community skating discos and are asking when our Come'n'try Learn to Skate lessons may be re-commencing. Sadly, at this stage, it is not looking likely that either will re-commence this year. Obviously this is an ever changing situation and we will notify you via Facebook post if this should change at all. We thank all of you who attend our monthly community skating discos and look forward to welcoming you back as soon as regulations allow.

01.01.2022 LEARN TO SKATE 4pm today Only current 2020 club members are permitted to attend Learn to Skate. GCRS has made the decision to suspend the Come'n'try program until further notice. ... Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention Conditions that we have adopted to reduce the risk of contacting or spreading the virus 1. Clean your hands regularly with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rubs. 2. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or bent elbow when coughing or sneezing. 3. Avoid touching your face, nose and mouth. And avoid shaking hands. 4. Stay home if you are unwell. 5. Avoid contact with anyone who is unwell try to stay 1.5m away from anyone coughing or sneezing. 6. If you or a member of your household has travelled overseas in the last 14 days, self-isolate and do not attend our training sessions. 7. Do not touch others No hand contact and avoid social contact, keeping the 1.5 metre distance rule. 8. Avoid touching surfaces wherever possible, particularly Ipads, tablets and mobile phones that do not belong to you. 9. Only Club members and their immediate family are permitted at training sessions.- NO SPECTATORS.
