23.01.2022 With the 2020 Junior Rugby League Season about to start are we convinced that we are putting player welfare ahead of the game? At a recent Representative Selection atrial Game,this issue was highlighted when a player received a 4cm laceration to his scalp (requiring sutures)as a result of a head clash. He insisted that he be allowed to return to play!!! As disappointing as it may be, we can’t allow players to return to play if we suspect, or if it is obvious that they have been concussed. There is a Duty of Care to the player whether they themselves, Coaches or parents agree or not!
