22.01.2022 Police officer stood down, Crime and Corruption Commission A 51-year-old male detective superintendent from the Crime and Corruption Commission has tonight been stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service and will be tasked to perform non-operational duties. The officer is subject to an ongoing investigation into allegations of unauthorised access of confidential information.

Incident at bunnings Southport carpark A lady was asking multiple people in the carpark at bunnings for money, saying she needed money for fuel to get back to Brisbane, but she kept handing the money over to a guy in a red Mazda, she stops and waits for people to come out of the shop and runs around asking as many people as possible for $20 notes and still keeps going back for more

22.01.2022 Shooting incidents in Carrara Please see below link to access footage Police have released CCTV of men they wish to speak to as part of their investigation into two separate shooting incidents at a Carrara home over the past week.... Around 4.50am on Thursday August 22, a number of projectiles were discharged into a residence on John Francis Drive. A 54-year-old man and 43-year-old woman were in the residence at the time. No one was injured as a result of the shooting. Around 4.00am on Monday August 26, a number of projectiles were again discharged into the same residence. The two occupants were home at the time. 21.01.2022 Attempted burglary in Ashmore! Police have charged a man following an attempted burglary in Ashmore early this morning. Around 5.40am a man allegedly prowled around a house in Pinaroo Crescent before attempting to break in.... The occupants of the house woke up and went to the kitchen where they saw a man in their outdoor area. They yelled at the man and he allegedly pointed a weapon at them and then fled A 29-year-old Southport man is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on July 8.

18.01.2022 Southport incident: A 26-year-old woman from Mermaid Waters has been charged with three counts of armed robbery and two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. She is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.... A 29-year-old man has already been charged with 17 offences including five counts of armed robbery, three counts each of wilful damage and unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of serious assault police whilst armed, and one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle with prior conviction and unlawful possession of a weapon. Police will allege the woman and a man forced a male taxi driver to drive to a service station located on Ferry Road. It will then be alleged the man allegedly struck a glass door of the business with the firearm, causing it to shatter before threatening a console operator. The woman has then allegedly approached the counter, placed a bag on the counter and instructed the attendant to put money in the bag. He then allegedly demanded the keys to a Holden Astra and both the man and the woman fled the scene in the vehicle. It is further alleged the man drove about 500 metres south to a different service station on Ferry Road where both the man and the woman stole another car at gunpoint, a Kia Sportage.

18.01.2022 Update: Car has been FOUND!! Found in Surfers Paradise. Police were called and intercepted a female. All our belongings were still inside.... 2006 Ford Territory Ghia was stolen right under my husband's nose this morning on Wells Street Southport. He was helping a friend fix his car & had his boot up. My husband heard the boot shut and looked up to see someone get into the drivers side and take off! His money, phone and our house keys were inside. The car rego is TLM 762 they are VICTORIAN plates so blue and white. The car all black. Please share or if you anything or have seen this car please contact me via message. Thank you

12.01.2022 Update 3: Homicide, Surfers Paradise Police have charged a teenage boy following a fatal stabbing in Surfers Paradise last night. A 15-year-old Waterford boy has been charged with murder and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.... The incident occurred around 8.10pm last night on Surfers Paradise Boulevard, when two groups of people became involved in an altercation. During the altercation, two 17-year-old boys from one group, were stabbed in the chest. Both were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital where a 17-year-old boy from Parkwood passed away. A 17-year-old Pacific Pines boy received treatment for stab wounds to his chest and back. The 15-year-old Waterford boy is due to appear in Beenleigh Childrens Court on December 16.

Jun 7, 2020 @ 4:39pm The Queensland Police Service is seeking urgent public assistance to help locate a eight-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl who are missing from Harristown since 11.50am today and may be at significant risk.... The children are with 30-year-old Casey Allwood and travelling in a 1999 white Toyota Camry sedan with Queensland registration 759 KMD (similar to vehicle pictured) The woman is described as Caucasian, 160cms tall with a slim build, blonde hair and brown eyes. The eight-year-old boy is described as Caucasian, with blonde hair and blue eyes. The four-year-old girl is described as Caucasian with blonde hair. The vehicle was last sighted travelling eastbound on the Warrego Highway at Gatton at 12.20pm today. The woman may be travelling south but also has connections in the Toowoomba and Bundaberg area

09.01.2022 Have you seen me? The boy was last seen yesterday at around 5pm at a hospital but normally resides in Logan. He may have travelled by train to Surfers Paradise.... Police hold concerns for the boys welfare as he suffers from a medical condition requiring treatment. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with white writing on the front, dark pants and grey slip on shoes with white soles. Anyone with information pertaining to the whereabouts of the boy is urged to contact police.

Police are investigating a hit and run car crash into a house at Ashmore overnight.... At 3.50am a Nissan Qashqai has lost control and driven into a house on Kallaroo Crescent. The vehicle had false plates and the driver ran from the scene. 02.01.2022 Armed robbery and assault in Nerang; Police have arrested a man following the alleged armed robbery of a Nerang chemist this morning, during which an elderly man was assaulted. Around 8.50am, a man armed with a firearm and tomahawk attended a chemist on Station Street and demanded prescription medication from the 36-year-old female attendant.... The woman complied, before the man ordered her to lock herself at the back of the property. The woman ran out the back door and downstairs, where she advised a 70-year-old male employee that they were being robbed. The 70-year-old then went upstairs where he confronted the man, before he was punched several times to the face, he suffered minor facial injuries and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital. Subsequent investigations led police to Carrara this afternoon, where they arrested a 24-year-old Mudgeeraba man.
