23.01.2022 #Hoax #Scam Beware of "Your Netflix Membership has been Blocked" Phishing Scams: Netflix users who have received email messages like the one below, which claim the recipients' Netflix membership has been blocked, are asked to delete and not follow the instructions in them. This is because the email messages, which claim there is a problem with their membership, are phishing scams sent by cybercriminal to steal their Netflix account credentials (usernames and passwords). Once the cybercriminals have stolen their victims account credentials, they will gain access to their accounts, hijack and use them fraudulently. Continue reading... #CTCorp

19.01.2022 #SCAM ALERT Weve been receiving quite a few calls from the customers in relation to an email thats doing the rounds. This email purports to be from the AFP, serving a subpoena on the recipient. There are several links in the email which may be malicious.... Dont click on them. Just delete the email from your Inbox and Deleted folder. The AFP does not issue subpoenas via email. If youre concerned youve responded to one of these emails, you can report it through the ACORN (www.acorn.gov.au) or to SCAMwatch (www.scamwatch.gov.au) Please help us make your friends aware of this. If you have been caught out please give us a call to remove the virus #AusFedPolice

01.01.2022 That moment when you open an attachment in an email, your computer freezes and you get a message that says you have to pay a fee to get it released. Its enough to make you wanna cry. To protect yourself from the #Wannacry Ransomware virus, SLOW DOWN when youre checking your emails. Do you know the sender? Is there an attachment? Were you expecting an email from this person?... If you answered no to any of those questions, think twice before clicking. And if you havent downloaded your security updates, or backed up your files, do it now!
