22.01.2022 Combining three of my favourite things this week, Helping people learn new skills, my dogs and boating. This week I helped a individual who I have been support for a few years now through mutiple companies to get a chance to get behind the wheel of a boat and learn a new skills. Previously this has not been an option due to company restrictions but thanks to the GC support services network its has been.

Jim Has worked with both male and female individuals with long term mental illness and disabilities such as schizophrenia, bipolar, depression and anxiety, ASD. Jim's skill set for understanding and assisting individuals with these labels Jim can tailor support to always help motivate you to achieve your goals while participating in your community. Jims Story: My Son who is 9 was labeled with ASD at a very early age like most ASD children he faced low muscle tone and was late in learning to speak with many other labeled ASD traits, during his prep year of school he would often fall to sleep from overstimulation and exhaustion not to mention bullying were I would be called to the school multiple times a week to collect him from the principals office floor, the school would then later email me suspension notices due to his unfamiliar ASD behaviors. Since making the decision to teach my son Jiu-Jitsu he has managed to overcome many obstacles I would have never thought possible physically and mentally from an ASD child he has been learning about his body and its functional movements through a bully-proof jiu-jitsu program having fun while also instilling a life long skill at the same time he now has the confidence to train alongside others putting most of his sensory issues aside engaging socially through our local Bjj academy exceeding his own expectations and goals this has also helped him build continuing relationships with his peers seeing him shine with more inclusion and acceptance from others his own age has been rewarding and is and will continue to be a life long journey. 17.01.2022 Working for myself @gcsupportservices through the NDIS in disabilities is by far the most reward jobs I have ever had, on a weekly basis I get bring joys to people by going boating, fishing, exercising, domestic assisting and helping people Learn new skills. One of my favourite things I get assist with is helping A young man make youtube videos in which he reviews TV shows, movies, video games ect. Check out our latest video review of the Netflix series ‘ The Last Dance’ and his youtube channel. Be kind as we are learning every week how to improve our content and editing skills.

If so at the Gold Coast Support Service networks team specialise in mental health and can assist with hoarding. This is todays project. Luke has been slowing decluttering and managing impulse buying with this individual. Today we finally tackled the shoes. Picture 1 what we started with and picture 3 is what she is donating. Most these shoes are brand new unused still with Tags, there is also multiples of the same shoe. Well done

Today Ive brought Charli, she has selective hearing but what she lacks in obedience she makes up in cuteness Charli is great at encouraging individuals to go on walks and go to public spaces which may cause anxiety. She is very persuasive its very hard to say no to her face
