17.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT If you live in Northern NSW (and reside outside the Border Zone) please go to our website for more information about coming to see Dr Scott-Young or having any tests he has ordered done in Queensland: https://goldcoastspine.com.au//COVID-update-for-11-08-20-p... The rest of NSW (other than the border zone) has been declared a COVID-19 hotspot. This has caused a great deal of confusion for our Northern NSW patients who do not live in the border zone. Under the current Qld government COVID-19 Direction 11, Northern NSW patients are able to enter Qld for essential medical treatment that they cannot access in their local community. But the Direction stipulates that these patients will need to quarantine. The 14 day quarantine requirement is not being applied consistently and the Qld border hotline advice is also confusing. Some Northern NSW patients have been allowed across the border by the police without being sent to quarantine. The hotline staff have said that they cannot guarantee our Northern NSW patients will be allowed across even with a doctors letter. At the moment, Dr Scott-Young is asking that his Northern NSW patients (who do not reside in the border zone) do not cross the border for investigations or appointments with him for the moment. Over the next few days, we hope that the confusion is resolved and we can be confident about who is and is not allowed to cross the border without quarantine requirements. We will be monitoring the government announcements and contacting our patients ahead of their scheduled appointments.
