21.01.2022 AND that’s a wrap! Our Wicked musical production was nothing short of WONDERFUL! One matinee and three sold-out evening shows, we proved to be very POPULAR. A big shoutout to our cast, backstage crew, band, costume team, sound and lighting team and all our helpers who made every show run smoothly. ... Finally, a big thank you to all the parents and carers for your ongoing support of our amazingly talented students.

20.01.2022 Colour Run Postponed The P&C have just confirmed that the Colour Run has been postponed due to the bad weather forecast for tomorrow. It will be rescheduled in term 4 with the date to be confirmed. School uniform as normal tomorrow.

19.01.2022 Our Year 2 students have been sharing their learning with the rest of the school today. Students have showcased their learning into the Central Idea, ‘People connect to other people and places around the world!’ Students developed their own concept questions and inquired into a country that they feel connected to.....well done Year 2!

17.01.2022 Tonight is the opening night of the schools production - WICKED! There are only a few remaining tickets for the performance tonight, and tickets can only be purchased through Flexischools. Al Cachino's coffee van will be on site at the rear of the Gym in the parking area off Clarrie Hermes Drive and there will be snacks for sale in the Gymnasium prior to the show and during interval.

14.01.2022 WICKED WEDNESDAY It’s nearly showtime! Today is the last of our Wednesday afternoon rehearsals and our amazing cast are busy bringing it all together before the green curtain goes up next week!

11.01.2022 Our first group of beginner Outdoor Ed class had their first excursion today at White Rocks near Queanbeyan. In the first picture Mr De Zylva is doing acknowledgement of Country - what a beautiful spot for it. (An 'Acknowledgement of Country' is an opportunity to acknowledge, and pay respect, to the Traditional Owners and ongoing custodians of the land - the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Acknowledgements are often made at the commencement of an event, such as a meeting, speech or formal occasion.

11.01.2022 It’s ONE SHORT DAY until opening night for our school production of WICKED!! Many of our staff and students are spending their Sunday doing a full dress rehearsal and final technical checks. A special shoutout to our band, the sound and lighting team, set production team and the backstage crew who are working hard behind the scenes to make our prouduction amazing!

05.01.2022 The Junior site were treated to some dance performances by the crew from Passion and Purpose Dance Academy during lunch times this week. All students from years 3 to 6 then had the opportunity to participate in a fun, inclusive and high energy hip hop dance tutorial, students linked together a range of movements to perform a routine. It was wonderful to see so many talented students demonstrate their skills in Dance.

01.01.2022 KULTURE BREAK at GCS Students have been rehearsing their dances for Kulture Break and presented a performance yesterday afternoon. They all received a shirt and certificate for taking part in the programme too. They have worked really hard and their end performance was stunning! We’re looking forward to a whole-school performance next term! Well done everyone!
