10.01.2022 PARVOVIRUS ALERT. After several years of zero cases, we have had a confirmed case of canine parvovirus in our area. This horrible disease targets rapidly dividi...ng tissue: mostly the bone marrow and gastrointestinal tract. The result is immune suppression and destruction and subsequent shedding of the gastrointestinal lining. Common signs are lethargy, anorexia, dehydration, vomiting and diarrhoea. Typically young and unvaccinated dogs are affected, but it can also infect any adult dog who’s immunity has waned. The virus is extremely hardy, surviving up to 9 months in the soil, so your dog does not have to see a sick dog to get it, just sniff around where an infected dog has been. Please do not walk your puppies until they have completed their vaccination course, and please consider updating your adult dog’s vaccines if it has been more than three years since their last adult vaccination was administered. 05.01.2022 Hi everyone, just updating you on Willow. We are waiting for her to come into season. She is due anytime! Once she is in season & has been mated (2 weeks later), we then wait 4 weeks for the ultrasound. I will post updates as they occur. Please read the pinned post regarding applications. In the meantime, if you want a book written by an experienced breeder, please look at 'Golden Retriever Puppy' by Jane Hodges. This is the most up to date information I can recommend regarding looking for, buying & welcoming your puppy home. I will post a link.

01.01.2022 Flashback to Daisy's 2014 litter These little ones are now 5 year old!

01.01.2022 Hi everyone, just a quick note, as I have been inundated with enquiries in the last few weeks. I do not have long and painful wait lists. I only take applications once I know there is a confirmed pregnancy, which is at 4 weeks by ultrasound. This way the timeline is concrete and everyone knows exactly when the puppies will be coming home - and then you can decide if it's the right time for a puppy to be welcomed to your house. When puppies move to your house, they need your... time, love and attention. They need bonding and training time with your family. You need to be home a lot. You cannot go on holiday & leave them somewhere else in these first important months and you cannot kennel them until they are fully immunised. Please be very mindful of these things when you ask to go on waitlists or apply for a puppy. Willow's is due in season about August. Puppies due about October. Puppies go to their new homes about early December. If you have Christmas holiday plans to travel, please do not apply for this litter. Wait until 2021, when the timing may be better for you. All updates will be posted here on the FB page. I will advise when the applications open after the ultrasound.
