22.01.2022 Yesterday I was playing around with household objects from the kitchen and created my own mini knitting loom out of a spaghetti server. It was quite fun and funny as I had no idea if it was going to work or not. Persistence paid off though. I think I'll keep going with it and see what I can make with it.... Which brings me to ideas for today... if you have any wool or string or even garden twine around the house then how about giving finger knitting a go? It is similar to the knitting loom but only uses one looper rather than several in a row. Here are some photos of the spaghetti knitting loom. If you are curious about how it works then perhaps I could do a short tutorial. I wonder what else I could create using objects around the house for a purpose for which they weren't "designed" for? I'd be happy to accept a few challenges. What household object shall I try creating with next? Take care of you and add some creativity to your day.

15.01.2022 Inspiration and ideas for you today include: 10 different things you can do with a piece of paper. If you think of other things you can do then please share, sharing is caring. Draw on the page Paint on the page... Write on the page a story, a diary entry, a letter to another, a poem Fold it into another shape - Origami Fold it several times and then cut patterns into the page, open it to see the design that you have created Shred the paper up and make your own paper mache piece in a bowl, on a balloon. Glue can be made using flour and water Make chains or decorations Cut a piece of paper almost into strips, weave it together and make your own mat Draw a mask, cut out the design and decorate it Create a maze on the page and challenge each other to find their way out as fast as they can Create and play games such as naughts and crosses, squares or paddocks Ok, so that was at least 11 ideas! More ideas coming your way each day this month so stay tuned for more. Take care of you and add some creativity to your day, have fun too.

14.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Hope you are all going well. It's been a while since I have posted on here. I have been developing all sorts of ideas and working on a few creative projects. I'm excited to say that many of them are very close to fruition and sharing with you! I hope you have all been having some time for creativity throughout this challenging time of isolation and restrictions. Not being able to catch up with family and friends has been tough. Thankfully where I live restricti...ons are starting to ease. Just got to keep being safe to be well. Unfortunately the price of these restrictions has taken a toll on a lot of people's mental health and overall well being. It would be greatly appreciated if you can support Art Therapists. A friend started this petition. If you can sign it and show your support then art therapists will be able to gain employment in more locations and better support more communities and individuals. http://chng.it/VvXDFXdTDB The projects I have been working on include starting a Youtube channel, Twitch streams, Pinterest, inspiration on here/Facebook a lot more regularly and if I can work out how to create one that suits what I want to offer is a website. Yeah, big steps forward. I have a lot that I am looking forward to sharing with you all including stories of inspiration, being uniquely You, different types of creativity and outlets, merchandise and lots more. I haven't posted any videos yet but there will be at least one before the end of this month. If anyone has any experience in these things please let me know any tips or advice, be greatly appreciated! Also I still don't get hashtags! Seems obvious but isn't for me. Lol, yep, lots to learn all the time. Yey! Sharing is caring. Take care, have fun and be creative, take time out and I will post again soon.

12.01.2022 I hope everyone is going well and stays well. With the way the world is at the moment with social distancing I haven't been able to start the sessions at my studio that I have been planning. That's still on the to do list but who knows when now. We can all really only take one day at a time and try to make the best of things regardless of what's happening around the world. One of the amazing things with life is that it can be an unknown journey and at times you can only pla...n and prepare so much and plans and goals have to change. I think it keeps things interesting and adding different forms of self-expression and creativity adds to the adventure in a wondrous ways. Creativity doesn't have to be artistic. To me creativity can also mean being resourceful and coming up with ideas to get you through challenging times including stretching the budget to include as many options as possible. Even cooking on a budget can be a challenge but being able to do that and make a yummy meal out of not much at all is a creative thing to do. An example of this is there was no mince at the supermarket but sausages were available and I had lasagna sheets so I took the sausages out of their casing and used the meat as mince to make lasagna. It was very yummy and I made enough for several servings. What creative and resourceful ideas have you done lately? Please share here so that we can all inspire each other in this unpredictable time. I am going to start sharing ideas of creative things that you can do at home with items that you most likely already have. The first one which will be in a separate post will be "10 different things you can do with a piece of paper". Take care of you, keep in contact with others and add some creativity to your day.
