07.01.2022 As a driving instructor we need to renew our accreditation every three (3) years in the form of a theory and practical test. Today was my turn with the HR truck instructor licence. All went really well and on behalf of Golden Stars Driving Academy I want to thank Nigel Bellini of the Bellini Group for his kind generosity of letting me use one of his flash trucks in his bulk hauling fleet . After an intense 3 hour driving test exercise, we are now good to go again for another three years and hopefully we will have our own instructor truck in the nearer future.

05.01.2022 Massive congratulations to Boon Rung on passing her manual TM Practical Driving Assessment at the Department of Transport. Rung came over to Kalgoorlie from Leonora with her husband Jack on three (3) consecutive weekends and every weekend we smashed six (6) lessons, 3 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. Rung and her husband are from Thailand and both were so keen to see this project through. Rung has become an amazing manual TM driver, someone I would not hesitate using as a model to demonstrate to many other young drivers how it is done correctly! So proud of you Rung, you are an amazing driver!

04.01.2022 Baby and I were jumping through hoops this morning! As a driving instructor, we need to renew our accreditation every three (3) years in the form of a medical, theory test and practical driving assessment. A few weeks ago I attended this for my HR truck instructor license and this morning, for Class C. The test is carried out by a higher trained, more experienced Department of Transport assessor and consists of two parts. Part 1, where the assessor assesses the instructor’s... driving as such and part 2, where the instructor needs to demonstrate his or her instructing capability by training the assessor. Both parts went really well, we ended up with a clean sheet and the assessor said to me: I wish everyone was like that! So we are happy and ready to go for another three years and all learner drivers have the assurance that they are definitely coming to the right place See more

04.01.2022 Congratulations to Julietta Alexandra Salinas on passing her manual transmission Practical Driving Assessment today at the Department of Transport. Alexandra had attempted the WA driving test several times and called on us on short notice. A three- lessons crash course seems to have done the job. Muy bien Alexandra .

04.01.2022 We are happy to have been part of Darcy Furness’s mission to get his manual TM drivers license which successfully happened today. Darcy passed his test at the DoT today with Rachel (his car) after a series of lessons with us. We congratulate Darcy and wish him all the very best!
