16.01.2022 Here’s a snippet of a small part of our creek trickling away on the farm .. we have an abundance of water all over the farm thanks to this recent rain. The running water has been a very missed sweet sound! The waterhole at the end is 2 meters deep & it’s overflowing.. absolutely amazing to see! 16.01.2022 We’ve been quiet on here but not in the workshop! Custom fabrication job building a skillion roof to go over some cattle yards!

16.01.2022 Our kids love it when we get one of these little nuggets on the right, not because it’s super tiny & cute but simply because it’s called a ‘fart egg’. No seriously, it officially is! I much prefer the sweeter term of a fairy egg but I’m out number on official appropriate terms in our house! Just for comparison the left is a Jumbo & the middle is our standard size! This little ‘fairy egg’ is certainly teeny tiny!

15.01.2022 These little guys are loving life with a fresh brooder clean today! They’ll call the the farm home however we have some Isa Browns & a few Sussex due to hatch in 2 weeks which will be for sale as day old unsexed chicks. DM or private message us to go on the list for them.

14.01.2022 Spot the calf... The hazards of driving around the farm when everything has grown so much with all the amazing rain.. got to make sure to dodge all the babies laying in the grass!

14.01.2022 Whilst Guinea Fowl are known for being great snake deterrents & awesome for catching little bugs etc they’re also known for being pretty bad Mothers so when we found some of ours had laid a clutch or two in our veggie patch we did a sneaky snatch & grab & made them all nice & cosy in the incubator. A few weeks later & they’ve begun hatching in the last 24hrs & it’s been great for the kids to be home to watch. We’ll see how many out of the 34 we’re successful with hatching but anyone who might be chasing some baby Guinea Fowl, the kids will be selling them & they’ll be available to collect from the farm once off heat unless you’d like them before.

14.01.2022 Lots has happened at the farm over the last two days! Lots of clearing & new roads going in!

14.01.2022 It warms the heart & brings a massive smile to our faces seeing other local farms & business on the Darling Downs receiving much needed rain just like us! We received another 21ml last night & our creek is swelling, waterholes almost to the brim, dams rising & the last of the tanks that had room are overflowing or close too.. just amazing! Bring on the next 7 day forecast which supposedly has the chance of rain every day even after the 130ml we’ve already had in the last 5 days! We haven’t seen rain like this in sooo long! How grateful & blessed we are!

13.01.2022 We’ve managed to successfully hatch our first lot of incubated chicken eggs! The kids have loved watching the process from beginning to end over the 21 days! We even caught one hatching on video. We incubated Sussex & Isa Browns for our first run.

04.01.2022 We’ve been very quiet on here over the last month & we’re well overdue to say G’day! We’ve been inundated with over 280mls in February & 145mls in January of ground soaking rain! It has been amazing but has kept us very busy with cleanup. We’ve got some damaged fencing, a driveway almost washed away & had some decent flooding around our house but we’d still happily cop all that again for the beautiful rain! Home has come to life! 425mls of rain so far this year... over 4 times the amount we got all of last year! We could not be more grateful!
