15.01.2022 On the 19th of September a Miners Memorial Day Service will be held as a time to formally pause and honour the memory of all those who have lost their life working in Queensland mines. This day will also mark the anniversary of the state's worst mining disaster, the year 1921 saw 75 miners lose their lives in a coal mine at Mount Mulligan. RSVP below.

02.01.2022 David Simmonds, Training and Compliance Manager at Gold Training recently attended one of the many Safety Reset sessions that almost every mine and quarry worker has undergone across Queensland. David took the opportunity to get involved while visiting trainees at the Daunia BMA mine site. "The sessions were very confronting, as they discussed the recent workplace deaths which have occurred in Queensland Mining," said David The reset was initiated by unions, industry and the ...State Government in July after six deaths across the industry in 12 months and was to be completed by the end of August. Mines Minister Anthony Lynham revealed more than 49,400 workers had taken part in 1,115 safety resets at more than 219 worksites. There are about 50,000 workers across the state.
