19.01.2022 SA’s Jack Thompson from The Grange Golf Club at 13-under retains his 5-shot lead with 1 round to play in the Australian Amateur Championship at Kooyonga Golf Club. At 6-under Billy Cawthorne from Royal Adelaide Golf Club was the big mover today and is seven shots back T3. Louis Dobbelaar joins Thompson and Cawthorne in the final group teeing off at 11.30am. ... 19.01.2022 The SA Primary School Golf State Final is currently underway at West Beach Parks. 22 Qualifying events were held at clubs across the state between Aug-Oct with 320 girls & boys in grades 5-7 participating. 160 students (the top qualifiers) have now made their way through to the 2 day State Final with all players from metro and country areas playing 15 holes on the Executive Course on day 1. ... On Day 2 - the players with the *40 best scores proceed to the Patawalonga Course to compete for the State Championship over 18 holes. 04.01.2022 The SA - Play 9 State Final was held this afternoon in a twilight setting at Glenelg Golf Club. 30 qualifiers (15 men and 15 women) from clubs from across the state who posted the best 9 hole comp scores through the period Mar-Dec 2020 qualified to tee it up. Well done to all players who competed. The following 4 players have won an all-expenses paid trip to the Play 9 National Final at Pelican Waters Golf Club during the Isuzu Queensland Open on Sat 13 March 2021. 1. Wome...n’s Winner - 18 points Carolyn Bradbrook from Blackwood Golf Club 2. Women’s Runner Up - 17 points Rebecca Clarke from Glenelg Golf Club 1. Men’s Winner - 21 points c/b Brett Vanstone from Kingston SE Golf Club 2.
