25.01.2022 Do u want Sydney controlling Gomeroi? If u don’t want some sneaky Sydney lawyers taking control of Gomeroi country, u gotta come to the Gomeroi Claim Group meeting in Tamworth on Tuesday & Wednesday and vote for the Gomeroi Native Title Applicant group. To register, ring Freecall 1800 111 844 or (02) 9310 3188 on Monday between 9am and 5pm.... Why is this meeting happening? In January 2015, the Gomeroi Applicant mob sacked NTSCorp. The previous 2 years the Gomeroi Native Title Applicant group had become unhappy. The Gomeroi claim for NSW country was not moving forward. The Gomeroi claim for Queensland country had not been lodged. NTSCorp did not appear to be acting in the interests of the Gomeroi nation. So when the Applicant group discovered NTSCorp’s Sydney lawyers held some kind of secret meeting with a mining company, the Gomeroi Native Title Applicants sacked the Federal-government-funded NTSCorp and appointed their own Independent lawyers. Since the sacking, NTSCorp have had the Gomeroi Applicants tied-up with Federal Court cases, literally non-stop, as NTSCorp tries to remain the Gomeroi legal representative for its own commercial purposes. 3 weeks ago, NTSCorp quietly announced the Claim Group meeting that’s on in Tamworth on Tuesday and Wednesday. NTSCorp put one small advert in The Koori Mail and posted out a few letters. It looks like NTSCorp thought they could scuttle up from Sydney and use 200 ‘chosen’ people to vote the Applicant group out and then control Gomeroi country from Sydney. But there are 40,000 Gomeroi people and they don’t like outsiders interfering in Gomeroi business. That’s why Gomeroi people who want their nation to be represented by Gomeroi leaders who care for country are attending the Gomeroi claim group meeting in Tamworth on Tuesday July 19 and Wednesday July 20 and voting to support the Gomeroi Native Title Applicants. To register, ring these numbers Freecall 1800 111 844 or (02) 9310 3188 on Monday between 9am and 5pm. Assistance with your travel and accommodation costs may be available.
25.01.2022 The Gomeroi native title claim in northwest NSW is not moving at the moment. The Gomeroi Native Title Applicant group sacked lawyers from the ineffective NTSCorp and replaced them with independent lawyers. 18 months ago and NTSCorp are still refusing to return the Gomeroi native title legal files to the Gomeroi Native Title Applicants. The Federal-government-funded NTSCorp are ignoring the fact that these files legally belong to the Applicant group on behalf of all Gomeroi ...people. The Applicants want to lodge the claim for Queensland country - something NTSCorp said they were going to do years ago - but they can't lodge the Queensland paperwork with the Federal Court because they require the information contained in the files to do so. Why were NTSCorp terminated? Right after the Applicant group discovered NTSCorp’s Sydney lawyers held some kind of secret meeting with a mining company, the Gomeroi Native Title Applicants sacked NTSCorp and appointed their own Independent lawyers. Since being sacked in January 2015, NTSCorp have had the Gomeroi Applicant group tied-up with Federal Court cases, literally non-stop, as NTSCorp tries to remain the Gomeroi legal representative for its own commercial purposes. As things stand, the Gomeroi people cannot advance their native title claim to traditional country because NTSCorp will not return the Gomeroi peoples legal documents. #naturaljustice #dueprocess #proceduralfairness http://gomeroi.com.au/the-gomeroi-native-title-claim-2/

17.01.2022 Statement by the Gomeroi Native Title Applicant group. Friday July 22. NTSCorp may be facing legal action in the Federal Court, after more than two thirds of the people attending a Gomeroi Claim Group meeting were denied the right to vote. The Applicant group’s native title lawyer Mr Phil Teitzel is concerned that a number of irregularities occurred during the Tamworth meeting that may constitute a serious miscarriage of justice which may invalidate any outcomes or resolu...Continue reading

08.01.2022 GOMEROI AUTHORISATION MEETING To be held at Tamworth Regional Entertainment Conference Centre Greg Norman Drive, Tamworth, NSW 2340... Tuesday 19 July 2016 8:00am (Registration) 1:00pm to 5:00pm (Meeting) Wednesday 20 July 2016 9:00am to 3: pm (Meeting continued) A Notice of Authorisation Meeting which was issued by NTSCorp, supported by a small number of dissident Gomeroi people, has called for a third and further Gomeroi Authorisation Meeting in an attempt to remove the persons overwhelmingly elected at the 2013 Gomeroi Authorisation Meeting to represent the Gomeroi people as their Applicants for the Gomeroi native title claim. Those current 19 Applicants have provided strong and independent leadership of the Gomeroi claim and their decisions have been based on benefiting the Gomeroi people and not on NTSCorp’s political agenda. The current Applicants are asking for your support as Gomeroi people to ensure all decisions made regarding the Gomeroi native title claim are made by Gomeroi people for the benefit of the Gomeroi people. If you are able to attend this proposed meeting, which has been called by NTSCorp - without any consultation or agreement from your elected Gomeroi Applicant representatives - and you support the current Gomeroi Native Title Applicants, please telephone NTSCorp on Freecall 1800 111 844 or (02) 9310 3188 to register for the meeting. Assistance with your travel and accommodation costs may be available

02.01.2022 This is to all the people who follow Gomeroi Dreaming I'm sorry i haven't posted in while there has been a lot of things happened over the last year One thin...g I am not an Applicant on the Gomeroi Native title claim anymore So i cant give up dates on the Gomeroi Claim i dont have access on that material relating to the claim In the past I have tried my hardest to update my people on our Native title Claim and that was with very little info we had on our claim that's because when we went independent and got our on lawyers to pursue our Gomeroi Claim without the statutory Native title service body . Native title service body withheld the files of the Gomeroi Nation Native Title Claim from the applicants over the time that we were independent So I really wasn't able to update the Gomeroi Nation properly on our claim and thats the reason But people the thing we all can do now has Gomeroi Traditional Owners is demand and update on our Native Title Claim with an Authorisation Meeting now and aspecially now that there are new applicants on our claim and their native title rep NTSCORP who holds our Gomeroi Native Title Claim files they can update all of our Gomeroi people about our claim which affects all of Gomeroi even our kids that are not born yet its about our future DEMAND NTSCORP TO CALL AN AUTHORISATION MEETING TO UPDATE GOMEROI NATIONS ON OUR CLAIM WE WANNA KNOW WHATS GOING ON My people will do my best from now on to update you all on whats going on in our country Gomeroi Ngia ngurrumbah Kamilaroi
