25.01.2022 Ive said this before but not for a while, so its worth repeating in case youre in the market for a new or upgraded website. Neil Miller of www.bluetonguedesigns.com.au must be Sydneys - if not Australias - most affordable professional website builder. He built my website more than three years ago, and since then hes built websites for several of my clients.... All of these websites, which use the popular open source Joomla platform, have performed faultlessly. Ive had no dramas updating their content either. Now that Google favours responsive mobile-friendly websites in its search results, Neil builds websites with this technology for around $1-2K depending on specifications. He isnt one of those geeks who quotes rock-bottom and then takes forever and a day to get the job done. He builds websites within a few weeks of receiving the deposit. So if you need a new or upgraded website, dont be ripped off by web builders who charge as if the Dotcom Bubble never burst. Get a quote from Neil - you wont be disappointed!

23.01.2022 Here are some photos from Round 5 of the 2016 NSW Motor Race Championships at Sydney Motorsport Park on July 30-31.

23.01.2022 https://www.djrteampenske.com.au//repco-launches-young-d/ Youd think that recent bad publicity about captains calls (eg. Tony Abbotts knightood to Prince Phillip, and Malcolm Turncoats $440M Great Barrier Reef Foundation donation, to name but a few) would have convinced Repco that leaving the selection of the first recipient of its young driver scholarship [sic] to Scott McLaughlins "personal choice" wasnt a good idea. The official media release doesnt mention t...he selection criteria or details of what the scholarship entails, apart from that it will "support his racing program alongside a mentorship from McLaughlin." Neither are the first recipients motorsport achievements listed. In an age of corporate transparency, this scheme falls well short of the mark.

22.01.2022 Next, an updated logo with some subtle changes (by www.twozeta.be) for the Cover image!

21.01.2022 Theres no shortage of stars at Sydney Motorsport Parks annual Muscle Car Masters race meeting this weekend, but the undisputed superstar is the prototype Formula Thunder 5000 (FT5000 for short). This is the cars public debut with three on-track appearances in the Sports and Racing Cars Demonstrations, and it lived up to expectations in the first one on Saturday afternoon. With 420kW (560bhp) from its 5-litre alloy DOHC Ford Coyote engine, the FT5000 will smash domestic out...right lap records wherever it races. And priced at under $300,000 thats easily the most bang for your bucks of any top-level category race car in captivity. Buyers should form an orderly queue at FT5000 principal Chris Lambdens door. First in, first thrilled!

18.01.2022 https://www.speedcafe.com//noonan-dropped-from-network-10/ The outraged comments from speedcafe.com visitors about this story are curious, considering its been decades since motorsport gave way to motor reality TV entertainment. It makes perfect marketing sense to favour youthful good-looking talking heads on camera over knowledgeable, albeit complicit, experts.... For a preview of Supersilhouettes future TV commentary, listen to any FM radio breakfast program . . .

17.01.2022 Continually changing weather conditions at this annual celebration of historic touring and sports car racing (with one glorious contemporary exception!) produced some interesting visual effects. These photos may be used elsewhere on the Internet free of charge providing the watermark (goodpublicity.com.au) is intact.

16.01.2022 So youre getting a head-start on the competition in 2016? Heres something to brighten your first working week of the new year! http://goodpublicity.com.au//news-category/item/36-early-b

15.01.2022 And so another Formula 1 season has closed, with the promoters and governing organisations futile attempt to substitute contrived close competition for genuine motorsport an ongoing abject failure. The FIA and Liberty Media face an uphill battle to stop the drain of casual TV sports fans, who cant be satisfied with the processional show dished up as motorsports flagship series. Meanwhile the legions of once-loyal revhead fans, having left steadily in disgust over recent... decades, refuse to pay to watch contemporary motor reality TV rubbish. Only when technical straitjackets, control tyres with mandatory replacements, aero, the Nanny/Close Finish Car and grid penalties have been consigned to the dustbin of history will we take more than a passing interest in what used to be our obsession.

15.01.2022 Its okay, folks, dont panic! Just a new profile photo - its only a couple of years more recent than the old one . . . ;)

09.01.2022 https://www.pitpass.com//Actually-F1-lost-192-million-view F1s 2019 TV audience news release might fool the motorsport media, but not professional analyst Chris Sylt who spotted a 19.2m hole in the official figures! Even so, with a worldwide TV audience approaching half a billion viewers youd think that FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) sponsors would be beating a path to Formula 1s door.... Yet theyre comparatively thin on the racetrack. A paltry three major car makers (Mercedes-AMG, Renault and Honda) are team title sponsors or co-sponsors, and the only other household names with top or equal-top billing are an energy drink maker (Red Bull) and oil company (Petronas). The other principal corporate partners are small-volume exotic car makers (McLaren, Alfa Romeo and Aston Martin), a B2B engineering company (HAAS), an emerging telco (ROKiT) and a regional sports betting firm (SportPesa). Hardly a corporate Whos Who. The reasons for the lack of commercial interest might go further than the steady decline in total TV viewers as more countries switch to subscription-only live coverage. It could also be that F1s newfound mainstream TV sports viewers, who replaced the revheads who left in disgust decades ago, are increasingly dissatisfied with the motor reality TV show dished up as world motorsports premier series. Who can blame them? After all: * the technical straitjacket produces a field of cars that look and sound alike, and rewards teams with the resources to spend massive amounts improving the few design areas that allow development, principally aero (see next point); * the all-pervasive aero produces cars that are mid-numbingly unspectacular to watch on TV; and * contrived sporting rules, such as unnecessary mandatory intra-race tyre replacements and the Close Finish Car, consistently fail to conjure up the hyped close competition. The teams that effectively control F1 have no-one to blame but themselves for deliberately alienating their traditonal fans and shrinking their existing fanbase, thereby sending sponsors packing. Last Mondays abrupt departure of F1 commercial boss Sean Batches "to be closer to his family and begin his next chapter" is unlikely to fill current and prospective sponsors with confidence that the series is in tip-top shape.

08.01.2022 One step forward . . . You might have noticed that Facebook recently redesigned the page layout for entity (Page) accounts. The obvious visual changes are that the Profile image has moved from the bottom-left of the large Cover image to the left column above the navigation menu, which is now vertical instead of horizontal. Taking the Profile out of the Cover ends the nuisance of ensuring that the Profile didnt obscure anything important on the Cover. Of course, images ...that were formatted specially to account for this irregularity now have to be redone to look normal. (Ill leave my Cover in its original form for a short while to show what I mean.) Putting the navigation menu vertically on the left side is a throwback to old school website design, but Facebook probably did it because pages on responsive websites (eg. Facebook) break into segments on small screens that now comprise the bulk of the market. If you use a large screen, then at least you know where you stand. Facebook entity accounts (Pages) are still segregated from personal accounts, so they they still cant Like, Share, Add Friend or comment on personal accounts (Statuses in Facebook-speak), which retain the previous design for reasons that only Facebook knows. Maybe next time?

06.01.2022 Christmas and New Year greetings!

03.01.2022 Im no mathematician, but doesnt 267 last week Likes compared to 266 previous week Likes = 1 new Like? Not according to this weekly Facebook report for one of my clients accounts! 02.01.2022 https://www.speedcafe.com//skaife-supercars-needs-to-keep/ What Mark Skaife fails to understand is that Holden & Ford fans are now a small minority of Supersilhouettes market. Marque loyalty in Australian motorsport has been declining since 1993, when V8 Supercars was created with paritised Commodore and Falcon fake touring cars to contrive close competition.... The revhead outflow accelerated in 2006 with the overtly equalised Project Blueprint models, and turned into a haemorrhage in 2013 when Car Of The Future killed any resemblance to production models. The few thousand red and blue-attired fans at Supersilhouettes rounds are a tiny fraction of the downward-trending TV viewing audience who have tired of waiting for the promised lead battles and unpredictable results. A new GM facsimile model wont retain the series few remaining Holden fans. Theyll join the legions of revheads whove left in disgust over the past three decades.
