24.01.2022 We’re so happy to see the return of outdoor dining in Melbourne. What are your favourite dog-friendly cafe/pubs? If you’re planning on taking your puppy or dog with you, here's a few things we recommend doing ahead of time to ensure the ultimate canine companion to your Sunday brunch... Train your dog to settle quietly on a mat or bed at home to teach impulse control and promote calmness. Why? If your dog can’t settle in one spot whilst you are at home, it will be a lot m...ore difficult for them to do this when you are out and about. Practice the ‘cafe dog’ exercise at home by placing your dogs lead under your foot whilst you sit on the couch, the same way you would at a cafe, allowing them just enough length to lay quietly at your feet. Reinforce the behaviours that you would prefer to see such as settling and sleeping underneath you. Practice in your lounge room and then on the front porch before taking it to more distracting environments like a park bench. Avoid teaching your dog that any and all dogs it encounters are an opportunity for high-arousal play. If your dog can’t walk down the street without wanting to high five every other dog and person they see, sitting at a busy cafe will be downright frustrating for everyone involved. Learn how to read your dog's body language. A crowded environment like a cafe/pub can difficult for a puppy or dog especially if you are taking them out quite soon after they join your household. Start slow, in a manner that does not allow them to feel overwhelmed or trapped and don’t let people or kids run up into their face. You are your dog's best advocate.

17.01.2022 For the dog lover in your life This is a physical, double-sided gift certificate, letterpress printed by Hungry Workshop in charcoal on thick white 560gsm card and sealed in an unbleached, natural brown envelope. We recommend getting your orders in by Wednesday 16 December (next week) so they arrive in time for Christmas.

16.01.2022 Hi Everyone, We want to keep you updated as best we can regarding when we can re-open and see you in person again. Whilst the state premier made announcements yesterday, Business Victoria have confirmed there are sadly NO changes to our industry as at Sunday 11:59pm 18 October 2020.... This means we still cannot operate face to face in ANY way, including contactless one on one sessions in a park or our Day Training service even though comparable industries such as PT's and mobile grooming are able to return to work. We are deeply disappointed by this decision and frustrated that dog trainers continue to not be considered in the lifting of restrictions. We'll still be offering online coaching via Zoom during this time so you can stay in your pyjamas, make yourself a coffee and receive the training and advice you need. If you currently have sessions booked, we will contact you directly via email within the next few days. Thank you for your support and patience. We hope to be able to see you and your dogs again soon, and as soon as it is confirmed that we can do this, you will be the first to know. Please note, from there we intend to rebook clients who had previously cancelled appointments first with new bookings taken after that which may be as late as December. Stay safe and look after yourselves and your dogs

14.01.2022 3 coffees today as we try and wrap our heads around the fact that it’s December already

11.01.2022 Happy Friday! What are you most looking forward to doing when this is all over?

10.01.2022 We’re back!!! We ask for your patience whilst we get in touch with everyone as soon as we can. We will be contacting all clients with previously cancelled appointments first and then working through our waiting list. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We can’t wait to see you and your dogs in person very soon

08.01.2022 We’ve done it before and we can do it again We will be closed from today (Saturday) through to Wednesday at this stage. Those of you with appointments within the next 5 days have been contacted directly via email. Please check your junk/spam if you haven’t received anything. 06.01.2022 Love this shot of our tote bag by our dear friend, Luke Pownall! We’ve been a little quieter on social media lately and that’s because we’ve got a lot going on.lots of dogs to train, the everyday business to run, clients to support and a busy toddler keeping us on our toes. Thank you for sticking with us guys and for your continued support

04.01.2022 It’s been a long year so I’m going to keep this short. From our family to yours - we’d like to extend our warmest and heartfelt thanks for your support, your kind words, and your patience as we navigated our way through the year that was. We want to especially thank every single one of our clients who allowed us to work with them and their dogs be it in person or online, jumped on our website to purchase gift certificates and training gear, masked up when we trained together ...and reached out to give words of support and encouragement when we were feeling a little stretched and burnt out. Whether you’re a client, friend, family member or colleague or you follow us here and like the odd social media post - THANK YOU for getting us out of bed in the morning, and bringing special meaning to what we do. We can’t wait to work with you and your dogs in 2021. Stay safe Tim Watson
