23.01.2022 Haribol everyone , Covid making a few little rumbling sounds in Logan/Ipswich areas .... I listened to this talk by our old friend Acharaya Das (he’s got a great list of topics on his FB ). Anyway , I loved it , I felt like I was in a transcendental school room and hearing the truth so clearly explained . Thank you Acharya das . Life is a voyage towards the truth . ... I love chanting so much , and I love learning all I can about this amazing chanting practice that has given me all that is good and great in my life . I hope you can listen in and take advantage of this absolute spiritual truth reaching out to you . Honestly , take hold of the chanting , and let the world of worry and anxiety go far away .... 23.01.2022 Haribol Everyone , We are holding off on Goodna programs probably till September - see what’s happening with Covid . My friends at the Mantra Room in West End are open/ following covid restrictions etc ... and have a great 5 week course starting up on Tuesday night August 4th - for 5 consecutive Tuesday nights . 19.01.2022 Haribol Everyone, Jivananda here with a good news flash!!! We have booked Uniting Church Hall for Monday 26th October - program to start at 6:15 thru to 7:30 pm . ... I will post again closer to the day with the Covid Safe plan etc and anything we need to do to follow govt guidelines on public gatherings . It’s pretty simple - I think we will all cope beautifully . However for now - we need to hear back from you . Who’d like to come . Just for the numbers . I am having an idea too - IF the night is balmy we could chant outside together under the stars ? I would bring the picnic mats but it would be good if folk can throw a comfy cushion or rug in your car . (We can use the hall chairs if needed). Anyway if you guys can let me know if your keen to come on 26th October , we can go from there . 17.01.2022 Hello Friends, Here is all the info for next chanting night starting up again after a long covid break. Where: usual spot , Uniting Church Hall , Smith Street Goodna . Plenty parking out front .... When : Monday 26th October. start 6:15 pm and finish around 7:30 pm . Open door program - come anytime thru the program (maybe work or traffic holds you up, still all good to come join in . ) What to bring : if possible a water bottle , a *cushion or *picnic rug , a jumper . **We may set chant up outside if the night is balmy . There is something special about chanting under a night sky - you feel cocooned by the nightime. But we will see how the weather is . Covid safe guidelines apply . We will be asking individuals, couples or family/friends groups to keep the 1.5metre social distance . We will have hand sanitizer available . Amenities will be cleaned before program (and after) . Everyone coming will have to sign the guest book with contact details. Here’s the down side - no dinner on offer . Please put a circle on 26th oct on your calendar. 16.01.2022 Haribol Friends ! No update on Goodna chanting yet - sorry I put a pic with this post - I thought it can be a pic of me chanting on my japa beads . Three reasons :1) we do have bamboo in our back yard , 2) if I ever tried to sew myself a dress that’s what it would look like , and 3) I love chanting so hence the happy smile . So it’s almost real. ... I hope you are finding some time to hear and chant in your own homes . Hearing = sravanam , and chanting = kirtanam and is the perfect combination for spiritual success when we practiced as it has been taught and handed down by great spiritual authority ( called parampara) and that’s what we have happening here . I have put links to kirtans in past posts so I hope you have been able to hear some talks and chant along . Honestly we are the luckiest people to have chanting in our lives. I look forward to chanting together again . Might be in a different location but see how it goes . 2020 is a weird year . Until then , all my respects , Jiva .

15.01.2022 Haribol Friends , Last night Gold Coast Mantra Room hosted a special night of chanting and celebrations for Sri Krsna . The link is a chance to share in the evening, meditate on the sacred Names of Krsna and hear about the Supreme Soul, Sri Krsna . The Mantra Room in Brisbane is hosting the same celebration this coming Sunday night 16th August . I am sure live stream will happen too . Covid restrictions making it necessary for guests to book their ‘tickets’ due to number r...estrictions. 2 programs running back to back , afternoon start at 4:30pm and 2nd session start at 6:30 pm. ***All the details are on FB page at The Mantra Room Brisbane. I hope you have a chance join in with Ashraya Kirtan Band - the chanting is sweet and soulful and Radha Krsna Das talks so nicely about Sri Krsna The Sanskrit word Ashraya means ‘shelter’ ..... and while the bombs are dropping all around the world , shelter is easy to find in Hare Nama -sacred chanting . The Uniting Church people are asking to also finalise a DATE for DECEMBER . 2 Monday night dates available - Mon 14th Dec and Monday 21st Dec. ... I am favouring 21st Dec for next month , but before I book it in , I thought I would put it out there for feedback . If you have a preference , please comment back and the majority will win . 06.01.2022 Haribol Everyone , Good friends on the Gold Coast have spent last few months working hard to design and fit out a new Yoga Centre in Miami . Meditation programs kept outgrowing whatever location they could (affordable) hire - so they took the plunge and took out a lease on a great spot in Miami . Central, plenty room and plenty parking . Ticked all the boxes Here’s a link to their first Kirtan night there , last night . Ishvara and me and family are heading down Sund...ay night to join the celebration mood and have a great Kirtan ! 05.01.2022 Haribol one and all , Next Kirtan meditation night is 23rd November - 6:15-8pm We will have hour or so of mellow Kirtan meditation plus Shankar wants to make a dahl, we cook some rice hot and fresh at the hall, I bring along a lassi drink and we get together, chant, share dinner and we have the makings of a nice evening . ...
