23.01.2022 A BIG welcome back everyone!! This year has been unusual for us all, but in saying that we have been been very fortunate to have the support of our Goodna School Community. While we will still be following our Term 3 COVID plan there is a sense of normality returning with COVID restrictions lightening in the wider community. We are very excited about Term 4, swimming will be commencing week 3 and Graduation will be held in the last week of school. We are currently waiting ...to be advised how many visitors will be allowed to attend before the event can be finalised. 22.01.2022 PROMISING NEWS ABOUT YEAR 6 GRADUATION! We have just been advised of some changing COVID-Safe protocols expected to be released next week. We are now waiting for the West Moreton Public Health Unit to confirm our new protocols for this event. This could help our hosting of the upcoming Year 6 Graduation look and feel more normal than what we had been planning. Apologies for the delay in information, as soon as we know all the expected protocols we will send the details of the program home. # together we keep Goodna strong.

19.01.2022 Thank you to our community for following protocols with the current Covid-19 outbreak. Your support and understanding is keeping our school safe. In light of recent events it is a timely reminder for us all to seek medical advice if we are feeling unwell. Parents and caregivers will be contacted if students present at the office feeling ill or "off colour". Some important protocols to remember:... - Staff on duty at the school gate will be recording names, mobile numbers before entering the school grounds and times in and times out. - Visitors wanting to enter the school grounds via any of the other entrances will be redirected to the school office for admin staff to attend to your needs. - Prep/Year 1 pick-up each afternoon will be via the M Block Verandah from 2.30pm. Parents collecting children from other grades are required not to enter the school grounds but arrange a designated meeting point outside the school gate or visit the school office for assistance. - Parents on school grounds will be asked to leave or report to the office. If you have any concerns or queries please phone the school office on 3437 9333, we will be happy to answer your questions. 19.01.2022 LOST PROPERTY We have a mountain of unnamed lost property which will be displayed in the junior undercover area tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday. If your child is missing any items such as clothing, lunch boxes, drink bottles etc. please encourage them to look through the items to see if any of the articles are theirs.

15.01.2022 Pride Cup 2020 We are very proud of our Goodna State School team who are participating in the Pride Cup 2020. Yesterday they played and defeated Junior Grammar 7 to 3. Our Team is improving each week and we are looking forward to more positive results after the holiday break. Importantly the boys are displaying true sportsmanship and representing the Goodna Community like true Goodna heroes.... It was great to have Lara Learner providing inspiration as well as plenty of staff to cheer them on. See more

13.01.2022 Here at Goodna we are working towards the relaxation of the COVID restrictions currently in place. Keep an eye out for our next newsletter (Friday 16 October) which will have details on important Term 4 dates and our plan to move forward in a COVID-Safe manner. 10.01.2022 http://Learning// 5G joined the Museum of Australian Democracy's learning team from their classroom for a digital excursion program called Democracy, Media and Me today. Students learned how they can be active citizens and considered how they can make a difference in society. They had the opportunity to visit The Old Parliament House, learn about historical events and people and were involved in group activities and quizzes.... All the other year 5 classes will attend the digital excursion over the next few weeks.

09.01.2022 http://Waste we want Wednesday// In preparation for Under 8's Day we are collecting milk bottles to create a large igloo on the oval. We are seeking 1000 bottles. Please wash and dry before dropping off at the STEAM HQ.
