21.01.2022 Behaviour is language. And how we interpret this language can be the difference between defusing a situation and setting off an emotional bomb. Our children do ...not WANT to push our buttons; they did not come into this world determined to set our teeth on edge. When our children struggle with their behaviour, it is because they are struggling on the inside. We choose how we walk into these heated moments. Do we fight their fire with the flames of our own anger and upset? Or do we show up with compassion and our firm, but kind, boundaries, and give them the space to work through their emotions until they can find their way back to calm?
