25.01.2022 Morning tea outside for our Nursery friends today. The children love sitting at the table. This promotes self help skills as the children eat finger foods and use their drink bottles independently.

24.01.2022 Over the last few weeks we have been working on a new garden project. The kindergarten children suggested we grow some more plants.... but what to grow. We spoke about our already up and running gardens with herbs, vegies and flowers. What else could we plant? "Butterfly and Bird plants", they suggested. So with some research we found some lovely Australian Native plants that would do the job. We asked Rory's Pop to build a planter for us (It's it awesome!), Miss Michelle went to the plant nursery on the weekend, and the kindergarten children planted today. We also have a bird bath, for the birds and butterflies to drink from. We have actioned a water committee, to help the plants grow. Great work Kindergarten children. Tucker Bush

19.01.2022 Good Friday, means a breakfast of toasted Hot cross buns in my house. Hot cross bun Easter trivia; Hot cross buns became commemorations of Good Friday and accross Christendom the cross came to represent the crucifixion and the spices symbolised those used to embalm Jesus at his burial.

18.01.2022 There is so much learning happeing in our everyday play. Look at all these components of learning, that help children with fine motor development to reach a goal of cutting and writting. (Stacking and blockplay, threading and connecting).

She learn lots of new things, and is part of all the discussions. Today's discussion was about going to coles to collect the Mini Treehouse books, what vegetables we like and what we might get up to on the weekend.

10.01.2022 Yes it’s lovely to receive a card, a photo, a pasta necklace etc, but how is this meaningful for the child and involve their learning and relationship throughout the rest of the year? Each of our rooms have talked about and discussed different ways they will be celebrating all the mums and special ladies in their lives, with the children and how we can continue celebrating all year round. With the help of our families by sending in photos of mum n child, or grandmothers, or s...pecial family events, our rooms made large floor books, that the children will be able to access all year. Our kindergarten children completed questionairs about their mums and finished off with a drawing of their mum. Happy mother's day to all our mum and special women in our lives.

03.01.2022 Return of the centre weekly assembly! During the last few months we stopped our assemblies due to covid and restricting close contact etc. But today we shared our first assembly since the end of February. It was lovely to see our embedded practices (even though they have been on holidays for the past 6 mths) were still remembered by the children. We started our assembly with our Welcome, Circle song and Acknowledgement of Country, before discussing the meaning of our indigeno...us mat. (people sitting around a camp fire having a chat). We then marked our rolls and talked good hygiene practices. Parents if you hear "Happy Birthday" being sung in your bathrooms, this is the song we encourage the children to sign while washing their hands, given them enough time to build up bubbles and wash the top and back of hands and in between fingers. Our centre assemblies will continue again on a weekly basis. See more

01.01.2022 RUOK? It's never a wrong time to ask.....

01.01.2022 Springtime Program. To finish off week 1 of our springtime program our Kindergarten friends have been doing some gardening. They have planted some Marigolds and have weeded and water all the gardens in the centre. They also looked at some life cycles. Our Nursery friends engaged in some farm activities with a gluing collage, songs, books and puppets. Our Pre kindergarten class used herbs from our garden (mint, lavender and rosemary) in their playdough today. The smell in the room was devine. Our Toddler friends used paints and brushes to create their own butterflies.
