20.01.2022 Goodbye Winter and Hello to the first day of Spring

20.01.2022 We have noticed just how much our little friends are enjoying our new space so we thought we would share some little snippets. If you have any ideas on what other experiences you would like to see in the space please let us know!

18.01.2022 Next Wednesday 2 September is Early Childhood Educators' Day! This year it coincides with the start of spring and we thought what better way to celebrate than to say it with flowers! We are calling on our families to help fill our centres with greenery on this important day! It doesn’t matter whether you bring a plant from a shop, something from your garden or even a sneaky snip from the side of the road it will surely put a smile on the faces of our well-deserving teams!

17.01.2022 The children had a messy morning on Friday and so did the educators. It may have been messy but it was so much fun! When making slime, children are literally hands-on. They engage most of their senses, that of touch most of all. Children can smell slime, listen to the goopy sounds it makes, watch it mix, stretch and flow and, of course, feel its soft, squishy texture. When children’s senses are engaged, it’s easier for them to focus and feel calm. Sensory play, like slime-making and play, promotes children coordination skills and thought processing but most of all brings out their sense of self.

17.01.2022 Yesterday Miss Jordan attended a Professional Development in regards to Embedding Indigenous Perspectives within the Service. This was held at ACCO with the amazing facilitator Robert Ah Wing. During the Professional Development Miss Jordan learnt an Introduction into Aboriginal Languages, Communication understanding for workplace, historical to contemporary perspectives, Traditional Games for educational practice and 8 Aboriginal ways of Learning. We are so excited to see where our Cultural journey takes us as a centre family!

16.01.2022 Happy World Smile Day! Harvey Ball the creator of the smiley face thought that we, all of us, should devote one day each year to smiles and kind acts throughout the world. The smiley face knows no politics, no geography and no religion. Harvey’s idea was that for at least one day each year, neither should we!

07.01.2022 A shout out to all the amazing educators within our service for all that you do for our children and families as a team! Your hard work and dedication to your role to inspire our children through your daily programs, experiences, environments and most importantly your interactions to build positive supportive relationships doesn’t go unnoticed. I recognise that at times our days can be challenging but remember they can also be the most rewarding. You are a role model to the children who come through our doors each day. Without you I wouldn’t have our families and without our families we wouldn’t have the opportunity to meet their children, that each have their own unqiness that can brighten our days! From me to you I say Thankyou!
