23.01.2022 This is why we love the job we do! Today we had a quick visit from a family who are moving interstate. They came back especially to say goodbye and thank you to Miss Lyn who was away on leave last week when the boys finished up. Miss Lyn has had such an impact on their little man, they wanted to thank her in person for teaching and caring for their boy. This just proves our essential our educators are in the lives of our little people! Good luck for the future Musa and Mus...tafa, we shall definitely miss you! 21.01.2022 Today we farewelled our amazing Administration Assistant, who is leaving us after several years with our organisation. Suzette has been an absolute wealth of information and support to myself, families and the 2 other centres she worked across, and is going to be very sadly missed. 19.01.2022 Dear families, You will be aware of news reports of two new positive COVID-19 cases in Qld today which have resulted from two people recently returned from interstate. While extensive contact tracing is underway in the communities affected, I want to assure you all that all our centres are maintaining the highest level of hygiene practices. This includes: ... extensive touchpoint cleaning (2 hourly and more frequent during busy periods) wellness checks exclusion of unwell children and staff sanitising hands on entry and exit one parent only in the centre and for no more than 15 minutes no incursions or excursions Anyone who is tested for COVID-19 is required to stay away until they receive their results and any staff member who is a close contact of an infected person is required to stay away for as long as Queensland Health deems necessary. All these measures will remain in place for the coming weeks and months to ensure the health and wellbeing of everyone in our care and in our wider communities. Please be assured that we will be monitoring the situation closely and strictly following the advice from Queensland Health. We also know that during uncertain times routines and familiar faces are really important for children. We have and will continue to provide the best possible learning and care for all children in our centre. If you have any queries, please feel free to come and see us in the office.

19.01.2022 Our prekindergarten is busy exploring construction today and look at that focus and concentration on their faces! Meanwhile Lucas is investigating bugs and insects with Miss Leeanne, Laythe is enjoying mark making and colouring with Miss Shayla and a group of friends is cooking and looking after their babies In home corner! It might be school holidays but there is lots of learning still happening here in Bracken Ridge!

17.01.2022 It was such a beautiful mild day today that our PreKindergarten children decided to eat, sleep and be merry outdoors all day! After a fun morning of outdoor learning, the children pulled up a tyre seat to share their lunch and a story with Miss Twin and Miss Nicole, before settling under the shade sails for a rest. And our teachers trick at getting them to lay still and settle.... a touch of numeracy and science together of course.... how many clouds can you count? Over the past few months people, families and communities have been tried and tested in the most extraordinary ways. As frontline essential workers our ‘Goodstarters’ rose to this challenge, stepping up to support our 60,000 families and 71,000 children through some incredibly challenging times. 02.01.2022 Wednesday is our Kindergarten’s Library day, where we donned our excursion vests, discussed road safety and library rules and headed up the road. Once we arrived at the library, we had Storytime with Miss Roxanne and sang some songs with puppets. We were then able to move through to the children’s corner, where we had free reign reading books of our choice and playing with the sensory resources. We had a great morning out and were an absolute credit to our centre!
