22.01.2022 Good afternoon, As I am sure you have all heard there are some changes coming over the next few days. From tomorrow onward you will see many of our educators wearing masks and we ask that ANYONE who enters our Center ensures that they are also wearing their mask, because from tomorrow onward anyone that isnt wearing a mask will be asked to not enter as we want to ensure that we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of everyone including yourselves. I also just wan...t to remind you all of a few things to ensure safety for EVERYONE: Ensure you are 1.5 meters away from other adults as much as possible Only one parent is to accompany the child/ren into the Centre to drop off or pick up Drop off and pick up conversations are to be no longer than 15 minutes, must adhere to social distancing and be in a place that isnt going to impact other families or educators and masks must be worn during all interactions with other adults. Please use the sanitiser supplied upon entry and departure to and from the Centre. If your child is showing any signs of been unwell then please keep them home until they are well again. We really appreciate your support and patience during these uncertain times. We will continue to keep you in the loop as things change because i have a feeling more will change over the coming days as the Government put more measures in place to keep us all safe. Thank you and we will see you all soon Sarah

21.01.2022 The Kindergarten educators and children have been exploring Indigenous culture through literacy and art experiences this week, as well as taking leadership in helping to create our centres Reconciliation Tree that is now displayed in our family room. Through experiences like these, educators are able to open the conversation with young children about aspects of the traditional and contemporary cultures of Indigenous Australians. As educators in early childhood, we have an opportunity and an obligation to incorporate the cultures of our families and our community, and to role model and educate respect for the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, learn and play.

20.01.2022 Tomorrow is Jeans for Genes day and were dressing in jeans to help raise awareness in the journey to find the cure for childrens genetic diseases.

18.01.2022 Old MacDonald and all his farm animals (especially chickens) are favourites of the Nursery Two children. So the educators have created provocations at the playdough table for children to learn more about chickens and to be able to learn though creating.

Let's make this Christmas extra special for our local community!

12.01.2022 We are so lucky to live in regional Victoria and be surrounded by rolling pastures and national parks! There are many things to do that still maintain social distancing rules, like bush walks, picnics, fishing, scenic drives, bike riding, skimming river pebbles, or just walking the dog. Connecting with nature is powerful - it helps you to reset your mind and alleviate stress. For children there are endless learning and imaginative opportunities and the more children are connected with nature, the more they learn to love, respect and care for it. Wed love to see pics or hear about your family ventures in this beautiful part of the world, so please feel free to share and inspire us all to reset and reconnect!

12.01.2022 The Kinder room has been exploring Indigenous Australian Creation stories recently and we are very impressed with the amazing drawings by Lewis, who drew (from memory), images from the Kurnai book Why Kowern the Echidna has spikes in his back The result was a wonderful illustration of the story which we wanted to share with you all. This is a Hedgehog, no an Echidna... He got thrown into the bush and got his spikes. This is the river, he is keeping all the water for himself.

11.01.2022 Were hosting a pyjama party to raise funds and awareness for children living in foster care! Come dressed in your warm and cosy pjs during the week of the 13th-17th July! 10.01.2022 We think its safe to say that 2020 has been a year unlike any other. For the world, for Australia and for our Goodstart team. Over the past few months people, ...families and communities have been tried and tested in the most extraordinary ways. As frontline essential workers our Goodstarters rose to this challenge, stepping up to support our 60,000 families and 71,000 children through some incredibly challenging times. So weve declared this week Thank You Week! A week to celebrate and recognise our 10,000+ Goodstarters for continuing to go above and beyond in face of adversity. We have a few special surprises planned for our Goodstarters this week, but in the meantime wed love for our Goodstart families to get involved too! Please share your messages of thanks and support below and tag an educator or a centre who has really made a difference. #ThankYouWeek #InThisTogether
