13.01.2022 Connecting to our Land Yesterday our Pre-Kindy children got outside on a nature hunt around our yard, collecting lots of interesting pieces of nature specially sticks and leaves that they found on the ground. They then made their own paint brushes and started exploring the patterns on paper, mixing paint and creating their own masterpieces with no restrictions or expectations.... Nature is a tool to get children to experience not just the wider world, but themselves. ~ Stephen Moss

13.01.2022 Today we celebrated Raksha Bandhan, universal Indian festival celebrating the relationship between brothers, cousins and sisters. It involves tying of a Rakhi ( the sacred thread of love) by a sister on her brothers wrist for his happiness and wellbeing. Rakhi is token of respect and affection. The brother in turn promises to protect his sister for life. Some children were very excited to go to their siblings room and hand their Rakhi to them, so sweet

Children have been having fun while learning new skills and developing self-confidence by spending time in our garden digging in the soil, learning about insects and bugs, growing their own plants and watching them grow! 01.01.2022 This week we have had a very special visit, the fire department! Children had the opportunity to learn about fire safety, when we call 000, the equipment firefighters use and wear, and their different duties. They even did such amazing display showing children how they can access everywhere by using their truck ladder; they even got into our playground from the carpark!...
