24.01.2022 Here are some of the activities our children have enjoyed throughout Harmony Week this week. They have learnt all about the meaning of Harmony Week and why we celebrate it, what diversity is, and learning about different cultures through a range of activities from class discussions to art and crafts. Many enjoyed dressing up in their traditional dress and wearing green on Tuesday for St. Patricks Day.

As you know the Government announced today that the free childcare package will expire on 12 July and that the CCS system will return f...rom 13 July, along with new transition measures (up until October) to support the sector and parents as they move back to the subsidy. This announcement is a little bit complex so we are working hard to understand what this means for our families and for Goodstart. If your income has been reduced because you have lost your job, you are caring for a seriously ill family member or have recently lost a family member, you may be eligible for Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) Temporary Financial Hardship to help with paying your child care fees. You can receive up to 13 weeks of subsidies towards your child care fees, for up to 100 hours of care per fortnight. 22.01.2022 The Government has announced a new Child Care Package where families can access free child care up until the end of June 2020. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to continue to support the learning and development outcomes of the children in our care, as well as welcome new children to our Goodstart family.

16.01.2022 Recently our 3-year-old Kinder children have been preparing sustainable plant pots with succulent plants donated by one of our families. The children helped to decorate the fence in the Kinder yard and the outside play space in our Nursery. What a great job theyve done working together to create this!

15.01.2022 In order to support those children from our Centre that are staying at home during this challenging time, we have created some Easter Activity Packs for you to take home. Located at our back entrance (via our staff car park). If you would like to pick one up please feel free to do so. We have also set up a Health and Wellness Station for you as well, to sanitize your hands and complete a self-temperature check (please note it is an underarm thermometer and wipes have been provided to clean after use). Our 3-year-old Kinder children made a heart out of flowers made with craft tissue paper, whilst learning about the importance of gratitude. Thank you to all the emergency workers and retail staff for your work during this time. We appreciate you.

06.01.2022 As Easter is coming soon, we decided to celebrate with children through different experiences. Last week, our 3-year-old Kinder children made creative art and craft of the little chicks, practicing their fine motor skills and using their creativity and imagination to create their Easter chicks picture.

05.01.2022 Yesterday for St. Patricks Day, our 3-year-old Kinder kids enjoyed creative art and craft, learning about the 3 primary colours and practicing their fine motor skills whilst making Shamrock art. Through creative art and craft experience, children can demonstrate their creativity and express their feelings. The making of the shamrock art also promotes the cultural inclusive concept in the room. Especially during Harmony week, we would like to further promote respect to different cultures, beliefs, and religions through different experiences.
