22.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums and important women in our little peoples lives. We were not able to celebrate in our usual way this year but it was great to support a local family business @walkabout_coffee who helped us to provide a coffee and sweet treat for our mums on the run during the week

22.01.2022 When life gives you a rainy day embrace the moment and jump in muddy puddles !!! We don’t know who had more fun today our educators or children. When educators become fully immersed in play relationships are strengthened and children learn it is okay to explore the unknown !

There is no better way for children to learn how to care for their environment and the creatures within it than through hands on experiences with passionate experts as their teachers.

18.01.2022 Bringing the farm to the classroom. Today the children spent time watching a video sent by our friends at Grace Springs Farm of baby Lyric having a feed from her mum. 15.01.2022 This week we are feeling very proud to receive this amazing artwork by @allanmckenzieaboriginal from one of our families Lauren, Billy, Jinda and Lennox @walkabout_coffee for our service. The artwork is titled ‘The Power Within’ with a key focus on putting challenges into perspective, seeing opportunity in the journey and making healthy choices to steer us in the right path. 11.01.2022 Today we had planned to visit the Reptile Park however under these circumstances we have had to reschedule our visit !! To keep the learning continuing we decided to dress up as our favourite animals, use technology to investigate 3D images and watched the amazing live feeds from the @australianreptilepark

09.01.2022 Always Was Always Will Be NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is celebrated by all Australians and is a great opportunity to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. This wonderful tribute is one way we will be exploring culture with the children in our service through the children’s interest in music and art.

07.01.2022 We were super excited to hear our friends Grace Springs Farm have had a new arrival !! A baby calf named Lyric !! The children have been quite curious sending our questions and pictures of baby Lyric to share with Farmer Virginia!! This local community farm is amazing and holds small farm tours on the weekends. If you are looking for something to do with your family and see organic farming at its best we highly recommend booking in !! We cannot wait for our next visit with them again !

06.01.2022 This morning we socially distant dropped a care package for our friends at Opal Aged Care Berkeley Vale. We are missing our regular visits with our friends and hope our package brings a smile to their faces and keeps the residents busy in these uncertain times.

03.01.2022 We are very excited to announce that Goodstart Early Learning Tuggerah has been awarded the State and National award for community as part of the Goodstart Early Learning awards ! With such unprecedented times this year it is a wonderful achievement to know that the actions of our children, families and educators impacted greatly on our own and the wider community. We were also awarded runner up for innovation on a state level recognised for the adaptions made to our programs and practices when our families were isolated at home and we were unable to take children’s learning beyond the gates.

02.01.2022 What a fantastic way for our children to get back into to the community today. Our Explorers have been immersed in investigating shopping through role play, taking this learning to a real life experience we ordered and watched our mini milkshakes be prepared from Walkabout Coffee Mobile coffee van. Our children had a great sense of agency paying for their milkshake and choosing the flavour independently through the aid of visuals. The biggest thank you to Walkabout Coffee for helping make this happen and sharing in the children’s jarjums excitement !
