22.01.2022 Bushfire Disaster Appeal A Bushfire Disaster Appeal has been established in support community members affected by the recent bushfires in East Gippsland and Hume. Donations to the Bushfire Disaster Appeal can be made at any Bendigo Bank branch or online via www.communityenterprisefoundation.com.au//bushfire-disast/ All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible and donors will be provided with a tax receipt through the Foundation. The appeal provides a formal channel for th...e public to donate money directly to affected communities and is designed to achieve positive outcomes for the community, by working directly with local recovery committees and structures to inform and drive the distribution of funds. The appeal will be conducted by the Bendigo Banks charitable arm, Community Enterprise Foundation, and funds raised will be used in a range of locally identified charitable areas to provide relief and recovery in the fire affected areas. Material Goods Emergency management personnel are busy working with local councils in the affected areas to assess the needs of their communities. The best way you can help is by donating money to a registered not-for-profit organisation helping with the relief and recovery effort (or to a Community Relief Fund, if established). Experience tells us that donation of money is much more effective and provides more flexibility than the donation of material items or pre-loved goods. At this stage, we do not need donations of furniture or any other hard goods and we are unable to store or sort them. Please hold onto your donations until those affected know what they need.

Point out that a tire is round like a circle, the television is shaped like a rectangle, and the slice of cheese your child is eating is shaped like a square.... Teaching your children through play based learning where children can explore, experiment, discover and solve problems in imaginative and playful ways. See more

11.01.2022 Goodstart Families! Just wanted to clarify with you that the free childcare package announced by Government today absolutely includes ALL Goodstart centres. If your child is enrolled in one of our centres and you are still working, studying or searching for work you will be able to send your child for free from Monday 6 April. We know you probably have lots of questions, and your Centre Director will share more tomorrow once we understand the finer details of how it all works.

10.01.2022 Hi Goodstart families! As you know the Government announced today that the 'free childcare' package will expire on 12 July and that the CCS system will return from 13 July, along with new transition measures (up until October) to support the sector and parents as they move back to the subsidy. This announcement is a little bit complex so we are working hard to understand what this means for our families and for Goodstart. We will provide an update to our centres and our families later today and over the coming days as we learn more. #5weekstogo!

10.01.2022 At Burke street we are happy to inform families our Kindergarten Program has been accepted to run the ELLA program for 2019 the children have the opportunity to be involved in learning Japanese Ella stands for Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) program. Using ELLA has shown multiple benefits for children. Children will expand their knowledge of how language works and apply these skills to other literacy tasks, such as listening carefully to sounds in words. These skills will be used when the children learn to read and write. ELLA will help develop foundation skills, such as learning colours, counting and greetings. Research has shown that exposing children to language learning at an early age encourages them to continue language studies during secondary school. For more information we have parent handbooks available.

01.01.2022 Hi families Our centre is joining forces with Victorian Goodstart centres to fundraise for the Royal Childrens Hospital, Good Friday Appeal 2019. Together we are raising funds for a retinal camera, worth $100,000. This camera is an ultra-wide field retinal camera for use in the ophthalmology department. Its used to check the health of the interior surface at the back of the eye. The updated technology will allow for earlier diagnosis and improved management of life threatening eye disease. Weve got a couple of ways you can help us to raise funds for this incredibly worthy cause: Donate directly to our fundraising page https://goodstartearlylearning2019.everydayhero.com//goods . Well be able to track how much we raise, and how much all Goodstart centres are raising together!

01.01.2022 This is just 1 of 7 koalas my brave and selfless brother in law has rescued. He has been out searching the bushes to find injured wildlife ever since the bushfi...re in Mallacoota has passed. He has taken them all to the Mallacoota wildlife shelter If you want to donate big or small every bit counts to helping out all the injured wildlife. The shelter is currently inundated with burnt and homeless wildlife but they are doing there best to help them all. Donations to there bank can be made directly at : SA Johns Mallacoota wildlife shelter COMM BANK BSB 062649 ACC 10126146 For overseas people the CommonwealthBank Swift Code is CBTAAU2S. After soooo much feedback from people and media about this post I thought Id take the chance to add another fundraiser. Mariska Ascher who runs the Mallacoota fundraising group has set up a fundraiser to help the town and firefighters. There are possibly a few fake ones but this one is 100% trustworthy. You can even put in the reference box where you would like your money to go, for example fire fighter or rebuild. Mallacoota Fundraising Group BENDIGO BANK BSB- 633000 ACC- 167799568 This is also the go fund me page organised. https://www.gofundme.com/f/mallacoota-fires-support-fund Any donation at this time is so very appreciated.
