21.01.2022 Our Nursery room children had a lot of fun decorating their sustainable, repurposed Christmas tree. Practicing sustainability empowers children to construct knowledge, explore values and develop an appreciation of the environment and its relationship to their worlds. #GoodstartWoodburyPark #christmastreedecorating #sustainablechristmas

20.01.2022 We love celebrating book week and providing children the opportunity to learn to value books and stories. Reading helps children's brain, social skills and communication skills develop. #GoodstartWoodburyPark #bookweek2020 #earlychildhoodeducation

14.01.2022 At Goodstart safety is not just what we do, it’s who we are. During these uncertain times we need to work together to keep our centre, families, children and educators COVID-safe. From today all parents and adult visitors are required to wear a mask while in our centre, as well as sanitising hands on arrival.... We also need to do our bit to minimise the number of adults in our centres at any one time so have asked that only one parent be present for drop-off and pick ups and to keep the visit to less than 15 mins. Thanks for your understanding and ongoing support we’ve got this NSW!

13.01.2022 We love when our teachers also dress up for Book week to support children's wonder and curiosity. #GoodstartWoodburyPark #bookweek2020

10.01.2022 *Appreciation post* To our Goodstart Family, Where to begin! We cannot say thank you enough for the love, care and kindness you have given our two girls over the past few years. You really have become a second family. There are no words to explain how grateful we are that our girls both had a safe and nurturing place to grow and learn. We know they can push it and test your patience at times and we appreciate the effort you put in to helping them navigate their early years. W...e are so sorry to be leaving you all, and we know the girls will miss everyone single one of you (as will we!) Lots of love xxx We love receiving beautiful messages like this and makes our job so rewarding, creating meaningful bonds with children and their families #GoodstartWoodburyPark #appreciationpost #meaningfulconnections

08.01.2022 We love when we have special visits from our previous educators. Amazing educators never leave our children's hearts or minds. #goodstartwoodburypark #meaningfulrelationships #secureattachments #earlychildhoodeducation

06.01.2022 Gardening encourages children to eat healthier. It’s no secret that fruits and vegetables taste better when you grow them yourself. This holds true for children too. Getting children involved in gardening allows them to experience plant care and nourish a responsible, consistent and positive attitude towards hard work. Today we picked our first Centre grown zucchini, we enjoyed having eating it in our lunch and the children were so excited to have a turn holding it! #GoodstartWoodburyPark #centregrown #zucchini

06.01.2022 NAIDOC week provides a great opportunity for us to provoke learning in our children about the long Aboriginal Australian history, the beautiful culture and the amazing achievements of Indigenous Australians. Our toddler room created a lovely sensory small world space for everyone to explore. Using our favourite sensory materials (sand and rice) the children were all very eager to explore the experience, especially the little aboriginal peg dolls. Small world play, as well as being fun, is great for nurturing children's imagination. This play provides them with an opportunity to explore new and some favourite materials, act out scenarios from real life, build language, practice social skills, and gain an understanding of the world. #GoodstartWoodburyPark #NAIDOC2020 #smallworldplay
