25.01.2022 We are very pleased to announce that LiL will be able to start again at school next term. Sessions will take place on a Monday & Friday from 9 - 10:30am in the Kinder room and grounds. Please ensure your child has warm clothes for outdoor play, a packed morning tea and a water bottle. Ms Elise is looking forward to seeing families for our first session back on Friday July 24. New enrolments always welcome :)

24.01.2022 To reduce exposure to COVID-19 schools will be adopting social distancing measures. 24.01.2022 It was reported in the last newsletter that book week was commencing Monday 17 August. This has been changed now to the week commencing 19 October 2020. The theme this year will be Curious Creatures and Wild Minds.

23.01.2022 There will be no activities on the oval this afternoon with Jayden due to weather conditions, however the tennis will still go ahead in the hall.

23.01.2022 Parents/Carers are now welcome to drop students off at the classroom door in the mornings. Adult visitors are reminded of physical distancing expectations, which includes number of visitors on site at any one time. When collecting students at the end of the day please wait on the grassed area until the bell sounds and then you are welcome to approach the classroom.

23.01.2022 TOMORROW IS HARMONY DAY While our luncheon has had to be cancelled due to the current hygiene safety guidelines, we will still be celebrating this special day. Children may come to school wearing orange if they choose to.

23.01.2022 Grade 6 Transition This week our partner high school, Montrose Bay High, will be contacting grade 6 families through text message. The text will direct you to fill in a short survey about your current plans for high school. The survey is not an official enrolment and doesnt commit you to anything moving forward. Responses to the survey will help us work with Montrose Bay High to best prepare your child and their transition to High School. We strongly encourage you to complete the survey even if you dont currently intend to send your child to Montrose Bay.

This week our staff are working together to develop work at home packages which will be available for collection at the beginning of Term 2. We will let you know when and how these are available for collection. Our teachers will be using Class Dojo to maintain regular contact with our students. Later this week you will receive an invitation to join Class Dojo, please accep...t this request. In the interim as the work at home packages are not complete we recommend that you support your children to engage in regular reading, accessing Reading Eggs and Prodigy and the other activities we have previously suggested. The ANZACs, nurses, doctors, soldiers, family members and everyone that has been impacted by war set us a great example by living our school values; we are safe, we care and we learn. If you have not already completed this process, a simple online form and related instructions have been made available here: https://levyrebate.education.tas.gov.au. ... The online form can be completed up until Friday 1 May 2020 on a computer, laptop, tablet or mobile device with internet capabilities. Safety and security steps have been built into this process to ensure complete confidentiality for parents/carers.
