16.01.2022 It has come to our attention that a few parents are transferring their canteen money directly into the P&C bank account since we have gone cashless this term. Please make sure you use QuickCliq for all canteen orders. It is so easy to set up and use each week, and makes it so much easier for our team of lovely canteen volunteers to track! Next term, ice creams and recess can be ordered again, both online and with cash on Wednesdays. ... Thanks so much to Roxy and her team for keeping the canteen running and our bellies full

15.01.2022 Thanks to Adila Harpley for seeing this on our local Greenwood/Kingsley Facebook page! Please have a read Do your kids go to Dalmain, Goollelal, Creaney or West Greenwood Primary schools? Are you thinking of sending them to Greenwood College for high school? We need your help! The College desperately needs an upgrade and it's the younger generation that will benefit more so than the kids already there. By the time funding & works are done it will be your primary school kid...s that reap the rewards. Please act now and ask the Minster, Hon Sue Ellery to commit funds in the next election to the upgrade of Greenwood College. Our great school has been overlooked & forgotten for the past 40yrs as all the surrounding high schools are repeatedly given funds to improve their facilities and upgrade their buildings. It's time they invested in Greenwood. Collectively we can make sure the decision makers understand that our community will not accept being passed over yet again. We want the environment of the school to match its heart, soul and reputation. It's such a great school, our kids deserve better! To help just follow these simple steps: 1. Replace at the bottom of this email with your name 2. Copy the To and CC to the fields in your email 3. Delete the top portion of this email so your email starts with Honourable Sue Ellery 4. Click send To: [email protected] CC: [email protected] Honourable Sue Ellery MLC Minister for Education and Training 13th Floor Dumas House 2 Havelock Street West Perth WA 6005 Dear Ms Ellery I am a constituent of the Kingsley electorate and my child wishes to attend or already attends Greenwood College. I ask that the Labour Government makes a commitment to extensively improve the buildings and facilities at Greenwood College in the next term of government. The condition of the buildings and the facilities at the College is very disappointing and is definitely below the standard I expect at a Public School. The standard is far below that of surrounding Public schools. The College has been neglected for many years by successive governments and the situation is now inequitable and unfair to the community, especially the current and future students. Improvement means not only a new gymnasium and a performing arts centre to equal that of other Public schools but also a complete improvement of all areas of the College. The children's learning environment is substandard as no extensive funding has been allocated to the school for upgrades to facilities since the College was built, over forty years ago. It is imperative that in the next term of Government substantial funding is allocated for extensive building upgrades. I look forward to the Labour Party making a commitment to our community. Yours sincerely cc Jessica Stojkovski
