17.01.2022 What a fantastic day! Finn B, one of Year 7’s had an exciting idea to start a writers’ club at lunchtimes. This idea blossomed and today 35 students in Years 4-7 had the opportunity to participate in a workshop with author Kelly Hibbert Author and author/illustrator Mandy Foot - Children's Books Today the children brainstormed the setting for a narrative and learned how to draw some characters. On Monday, they will start to write their stories and further develop their characters through illustrations and words. Here’s a few photos of the children at the workshop.

14.01.2022 A great outlet for young people to have fun, meet new friends and be involved with the wider community.

13.01.2022 Wishing all the Goolwa Primary School families and friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

13.01.2022 The students made the most of the beautiful sunshine today with our last bike riding session for the term. The little kids had fun riding up and down on the concrete cricket pitch. The older children showed off their skills on the basketball court. Next term, older kids on bikes will ride in the forest. Younger kids and scooters and skateboards will ride on the basketball court. All riders must have a signed permission slip and wear a helmet. Video files in the comments!

11.01.2022 First days. They can be anxiety-inducing. Whether it’s kindy, big school, high school, work, swimming lessons, or anything else that represents a new start, fir...st days are scary for some of us, and our children. Even when everything starts ok, the worries can compound and by the time Day 2 (or Week 2) comes around, our children can become terrified. Facing First Day Fears is a webinar for every parent of a child starting something this month for the first time. It could be that your child has signed up for a new team and doesn’t know anyone. Whatever the ‘first’ actually is, the "Facing First Day Fears' webinar will help you find reassurance, gentle solutions, and successful strategies to support your children through those first tough 10 seconds, 10 minutes, or 10 days, so that they can start with confidence. Join Dr Justin Coulson for the ‘Facing First Day Fears’ on the 18th January at 8pm AEDT - tickets are $30, or included in your Happy Families membership! Click on the below link to purchase your ticket today: https://www.happyfamilies.com.au/pr/facing-first-day-fears/
